Questions from Dovecote
Is a repair better than a new one?
Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Just add the extra items to your photos and you will get one combined price.
Is there a guarantee?
All our work carries a one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
We do, regularly. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Just make sure the landlord agrees.
Can pets and children be at home?
We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work. Everywhere else in the home is fine.
How much does uPVC repair cost in Dovecote?
Prices start from £95. Every job gets a fixed quote from your pictures. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your EH41 postcode.
Which areas do you work in?
We work UK-wide, so Dovecote is covered. Prices do not change with location.
About our uPVC repair in Dovecote
We fill and refinish the damage to match the frame, including woodgrain finishes. We also do snagging repairs for builders. Our repair technicians work on coloured and woodgrain uPVC, doors & door panels and white uPVC, and the jobs we see most are burns on sills and scratches from ladders and furniture.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee. Warm soapy water and a soft cloth are all it needs. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners.

Should you replace it?
Replacing the frame or sill costs far more, and it may not match the rest after years of weathering. Repairing the damage leaves the unit in place. Prices start from £95. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.
Why us?
- Most jobs done in one visit
- Fixed prices from your photos
- Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
- Everything repaired in place
See our prices page.
Can I fix it myself?
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.
Do you need uPVC repair in Dovecote?
uPVC is hard-wearing, but it does get damaged: ladders and building work leave scratches and chips, candles and cigarettes burn sills, and old fittings leave holes.
Typical reasons for a call-out include:
- Burns on sills
- Scratches from ladders and furniture
- Chips and dents
- Damage during building work

What we do, step by step
You don’t need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we’re doing. It typically takes a morning or an afternoon, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.
- First the frame or panel is cleaned.
- Scratches, chips and holes are filled.
- The repair is sanded smooth.
- We match the colour, including woodgrain finishes.
- The repair is blended into the surface around it.
Preparing for the visit
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Make sure the room can be ventilated

- How much damage there is

- How easy the damage is to reach
A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
