uPVC repair in High Street, done in place
We also do snagging repairs for builders. The damage is filled and refinished so it blends into the frame, including woodgrain finishes. Whether it’s burns on sills and holes from removed fittings and alarms, we can help, on window frames & sills, white uPVC and coloured and woodgrain uPVC alike.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we will come back. Warm soapy water and a soft cloth are all it needs. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners.

Can I fix it myself?
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

What else we do in High Street
What we’re called out for in High Street
uPVC is hard-wearing, but it does get damaged: ladders and building work leave scratches and chips, candles and cigarettes mark sills, and removed fittings leave holes.
People normally call us when they notice one of these:
- Chips and dents
- Burns on sills
- Holes from removed fittings and alarms
- Scratches from ladders and furniture

Repairing versus replacing in High Street
A new window, door or sill costs far more, and new uPVC may not match the weathered frames around it. A repair leaves the unit in place. Prices start from £95. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Why us?
- Colour-matched on site
- Typically one visit, start to finish
- CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
- Free fixed quotes from pictures

For landlords and businesses
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Cornwall and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.
Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover. We can visit several plots in one trip.
What we do, step by step
Here’s how a visit usually runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, do the job and tidy away. Plan for a morning or an afternoon. Before we go, we will explain when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.
- We clean the frame or panel.
- Scratches, chips and holes are filled.
- We sand the repair smooth.
- We colour-match the finish, including woodgrain effects.
- The repair is blended into the surface around it.
Preparing for the visit
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Ensure the area is dry

FAQs for High Street
Is a repair better than a new one?
In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.
Is it messy?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we have finished.
Will there be a smell?
It depends on the job, but frequently a little. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.
Do you cover High Street?
Yes. We work across the UK and come to High Street and the rest of Cornwall. Send photos and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Are you accredited?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.
Can a burnt window sill be fixed?
Yes. The burn is filled and refinished to match.
Does someone need to be in?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.

Prices and what affects them
Repairs from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We take into account:
- How much damage there is
- What kind of damage it is
- How hard the colour is to match
- What the surface is made of
What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.
How to get a fixed price
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- One picture of the entire window, door or sill
If you are in High Street and want a price, the easiest route is pictures: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You will get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.
