Trusted uPVC repair in The Calls

Why repair rather than replace?

A new window, door or sill costs far more, and new uPVC may not match the weathered frames around it. Repairing the damage leaves the unit in place. Prices start from £95. We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Why The Calls clients choose us

  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • One visit for most repairs
  • CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year

uPVC repair at your home in The Calls

We also do snagging repairs for builders. We fill and refinish the damage to match the frame, woodgrain finishes included. We regularly repair white uPVC, doors & door panels and conservatory frames, and the jobs we see most are burns on sills and holes from removed fittings and alarms.

You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before you book. Warm soapy water and a soft cloth are all it needs. Don’t use solvents or scourers.

When we’d advise against a repair

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • Failed or misted double glazing units
  • Broken locks, hinges or mechanisms
  • Frames that are warped or out of square

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.

Materials we work on in The Calls

  • Coloured and woodgrain uPVC
  • Conservatory frames
  • Window frames & sills
  • White uPVC

Prices and what affects them

Repairs from £95. Prices are worked out job by job, from your pictures. The main factors are:

  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • The material and finish

No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Getting a price from pictures

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them over with your postcode, and you will get a fixed price back. Quotes are free and no obligation.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

How it works

Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We agree the arrival time in advance, cover and mask the work area, and get on with the job, which normally takes a few hours. If we find something your photos didn’t show, we will explain it before carrying on.

  1. First the frame or panel is cleaned.
  2. Scratches, chips and holes are filled.
  3. We smooth the repair.
  4. The finish is colour-matched, woodgrain included.
  5. We blend the repair into the surrounding surface.

Preparing for the visit

  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work

Ask for a price

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.

Questions from The Calls

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Nearly always. If pictures don’t show enough, we will ask for another angle.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

Do you repair coloured uPVC?

Yes. Colour and grain are matched by hand.

What happens after I send pictures?

We look at the photos and reply with a fixed quote and some dates. If we need another angle, we will ask.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners in The Calls.

Do I have to be there?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.

Do you cover The Calls?

Yes. We work across the UK and travel to The Calls and the rest of Leeds. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

How quickly can you book me in?

That depends on our diary for your area. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.
