Should I try a DIY kit first?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
How we handle uPVC repair in The Valley
We fill and refinish the damage so it blends into the frame, including woodgrain finishes. We also do snagging repairs for builders. We are often asked to fix holes from removed fittings and alarms and chips and dents, on doors & door panels, white uPVC and window frames & sills.
Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Don’t use solvents or scourers.

What affects the price in The Valley
Repairs from £95. Each job gets its own fixed price. This is what makes a difference:
- How many items we do on one visit
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Send photos for a quote
When you take your photos, these tips help us give you a firm price:
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- Any details about the material
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of photos through our quote form or call us. We’ll tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.
Do you need uPVC repair in The Valley?
uPVC is hard-wearing, but it does get damaged: ladders, tools and building work scratch and chip it, candles and cigarettes mark sills, and removed fittings leave holes.
If you can see any of these, send us a picture:
- Burns on sills
- Chips and dents
- Damage during building work
- Holes from removed fittings and alarms
Before you book anyone
- What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
- Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
- What aftercare is recommended
- If travel is included in the price
What we do, step by step
Arrival times are agreed in advance, so you’re not left guessing. Once we are there, the work takes a few hours in most cases. We leave the room clean and ready to use once it has cured.
- First the frame or panel is cleaned.
- We fill scratches, chips and holes.
- We smooth the repair.
- The finish is colour matched, woodgrain included.
- The repair is blended into the surface around it.
Preparing for the visit
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Make sure the room can be ventilated

Repairing versus replacing in The Valley
Replacing the frame or sill costs far more, and it may not match the rest after years of weathering. Repairing the damage keeps the original. Prices start from £95. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.
