uPVC repair in Torry without replacing anything

The damage is filled and refinished so it blends into the frame, woodgrain finishes included. We also do snagging repairs for builders. Whether it’s holes from removed fittings and alarms and scratches from ladders and furniture, we can normally put it right.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you are covered after the visit. Warm soapy water and a soft cloth are all it needs. Do not use solvents or scourers.

When we’d advise against a repair

In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • Failed or misted double glazing units
  • Broken locks, hinges or mechanisms
  • Frames that are warped or out of square

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

What we work on

  • Coloured and woodgrain uPVC
  • Doors & door panels
  • White uPVC
  • Conservatory frames
  • Window frames & sills

What happens on the day

On the day, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job normally takes a morning or an afternoon. We clean up when we are done and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. We clean the frame or panel.
  2. We fill scratches, chips and holes.
  3. We smooth the repair.
  4. The finish is colour-matched, woodgrain included.
  5. Finally we blend it into the rest of the frame.

Before we arrive

  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £95. Prices are worked out job by job. The main factors are:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • The colour and finish to match
  • How many areas need work

Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Torry. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

How to get a fixed quote

Phone pictures are fine, there’s no need for anything special. Just make sure we can see:

  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • The material, if you know it
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.

Signs you need uPVC repair in Torry

uPVC is tough but not indestructible: ladders and building work leave scratches and chips, candles and cigarettes burn sills, and old fittings leave holes.

Look out for any of the following:

  • Chips and dents
  • Damage during building work
  • Holes from removed fittings and alarms
  • Burns on sills

Questions to ask before you book

  • If travel is included in the price
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • Who turns up on the day
  • Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?

Choosing a repair company

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing the frame or sill costs far more, and it may not match the rest after years of weathering. Repairing the damage leaves the unit in place. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. A repair usually costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send pictures and we’ll give you the exact figure.

Why Torry clients choose us

  • Usually one visit, start to finish
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • One price list for the entire UK

Can I fix it myself?

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.
