uPVC repair at your home in Woodfalls

We fill and refinish the damage to match the frame, including woodgrain finishes. We also do snagging repairs for builders. If you’re dealing with scratches from ladders and furniture and burns on sills, we can generally put it right, whatever the material.

We guarantee the work for a year. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right. Warm soapy water and a soft cloth are all it needs. Don’t use solvents or scourers.

Should you replace it?

A new window, door or sill is a much bigger job, and new uPVC may not match the weathered frames around it. A repair keeps the original. Our uPVC repair starts from £95. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

Can I fix it myself?

For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

Questions from Woodfalls

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Usually, yes. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed price without visiting.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before.

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are frequently glad to have it sorted.

Is a repair better than a new one?

In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it isn’t worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

Can pets and children be at home?

Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we are working in. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and you will get one combined price.

Can landlords book you?

We do, regularly. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.

What happens once I’ve sent photos?

You’ll get a fixed quote back, normally with dates to choose from. There’s no obligation to book.

When we would advise against a repair

We would rather lose a job than do one that will not last, so here’s what a repair can’t put right:

  • Failed or misted double glazing units
  • Broken locks, hinges or mechanisms
  • Frames that are warped or out of square

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Conservatory frames
  • Window frames & sills
  • Coloured and woodgrain uPVC
  • White uPVC
  • Doors & door panels

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Woodfalls. The price reflects:

  • How many items we do on one visit
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • The material and finish

Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

Send photos for a quote

Phone pictures are fine. Just ensure we can see:

  • A picture taken from further back
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • The material, if you know it
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.

What happens on the day

There’s not much you need to do on the day. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will take it from there. The job generally runs to a morning or an afternoon, including clearing up.

  1. We clean the frame or panel.
  2. We fill scratches, chips and holes.
  3. The repair is sanded smooth.
  4. We match the colour, including woodgrain finishes.
  5. We blend the repair into the surrounding surface.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Getting a price

Email us a photo of the damage and one of the whole item, with your SP5 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.
