Worktop repair for Aynho homes

Worktop repair at your home in Aynho

Worktops are expensive to replace and hard to match, especially in an L-shaped or long kitchen. Repairing the damage keeps your kitchen as it is. We work on laminate, granite & marble and quartz, and the jobs we see most are dents and gouges and chips in quartz or granite.

We guarantee the work for a year. If something is not right in that time, we come back and put it right.

The process

Arrival times are agreed in advance, so you know when to expect us. Once we are there, the work takes a few hours, depending on the damage for most jobs. The room is left tidy and ready to use once it has cured.

  1. We protect the rest of the kitchen.
  2. The damage is cleaned and any loose material removed.
  3. We fill it and level it with the worktop.
  4. We recreate the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. We seal and polish it to the right sheen.

Preparing for the visit

  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Let us know about parking or access

Ask for a price

You do not need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

Aynho questions

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners in Aynho.

How much does worktop repair cost in Aynho?

Repairs from £95. We give a fixed quote from your photos. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your OX17 postcode.

Is repairing better than replacing?

In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it isn’t worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

Do you repair quartz?

Yes, frequently. We match the colour and polish the repair.

Is there any odour?

There may be a mild smell during the work that clears as it cures.

Will the repair match a patterned worktop?

Colour, flecks and veins are recreated by hand, for a repair that blends in.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes: twelve months. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Will the price change on the day?

Your quote covers the damage in the pictures. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

When we would advise against a repair

In fairness, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:

  • Discolouration deep in quartz
  • Laminate that has blown or swollen
  • A worktop that has moved because its support has failed

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

Materials we repair

  • Solid surface (such as Corian)
  • Quartz
  • Laminate
  • Granite & marble
  • Solid wood

Repairs by material

Laminate

A laminate worktop is a thin decorative layer on a board. We fill damage and paint in the pattern by hand.

Quartz

Quartz is crushed stone bound with resin. We fill and polish chipped edges.

Looking after it afterwards

Once the work has cured, treat it gently:

  • Never put hot pans down directly
  • Do not cut directly on the worktop
  • Keep joints and edges dry
  • Keep wood oiled

Keep joints and the sink edge dry, particularly with laminate and timber.

A chip on an edge can grow, and on laminate, water can get into the core. An early repair prevents it.

How we price worktop repair

Repairs from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Aynho. What changes the price is:

  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • How easy the damage is to reach

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you will get a fixed figure.

Send pictures for a quote

You can generally get a fixed price without us visiting. To make it quick:

  • Any details about the material
  • Details of any past repairs
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire worktop, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

Should you replace it?

Even a single new length of worktop means templating, cutting and refitting the sink and hob. A repair takes a few hours and leaves everything in place. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book, with no extras added later.

Work for landlords and builders

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
