Should I try a DIY kit first?
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
Worktop repair in Bradshaw without replacing anything
A worktop repair is carried out in your kitchen, with the area around the damage covered. Most jobs take a few hours, and the worktop can be used again soon after. We regularly repair laminate, solid surface (such as Corian) and granite & marble, and the jobs we see most are damage around the sink cut-out and a heat mark or burn.
You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Bradshaw as everywhere else we work.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Stone and quartz have to be templated and cut, so replacing one section is a big job. A repair takes a few hours. Our worktop repair starts from £95. A repair usually costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send pictures and we’ll give you the exact figure.
What you get with us

How to care for the repair
Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:
- Keep a trivet by the hob
- Chopping boards prevent scratches
- Wipe up spills quickly
- Keep joints and edges dry
Wipe water away from joints and around the sink, especially on laminate and wood.
Edge chips can get bigger, and on laminate, water can get into the core. Repairing it early stops that.
FAQs for Bradshaw
Is there a call-out fee?
Travel is included in the price, with the same prices everywhere we work.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Usually, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. We will tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
How do I book?
A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.
Are you a vetted contractor?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
Do you cover the whole of Bolton?
Everywhere in the UK, Bradshaw included. There’s no extra charge for travel.
Will it make a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.
What happens if you find more damage?
The price is fixed for what the pictures show. If there’s more, we will tell you before starting.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Of course, and it generally saves money. Just add the extra items to your pictures and we’ll quote them together.
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £95. You will know the full cost before you book. We take into account:
- Doing more than one item at once
- How many areas need work
- The material and finish
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Send pictures for a quote
You can generally get a fixed quote without us visiting. To make it quick:
- Something in shot to show the size
- Details of any past repairs
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A photo taken from further back
No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and we will come back with a fixed figure.
