Worktop repair in Brynna without replacing anything
Each type of worktop needs a different approach: we fill and pattern laminate, fill and polish quartz and stone, and sand and refinish wood. We always aim for a repair that blends in. We are frequently asked to fix chips caused during installation and damage to a stone worktop, in quartz, solid wood and granite & marble.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we will come back.

The process
We agree an arrival time beforehand. On site, it takes a few hours, depending on the damage for most jobs. The room is left tidy and ready to use once it has cured.
- We protect the rest of the kitchen.
- The damage is cleaned and any loose material removed.
- It’s filled and levelled with the surface.
- We recreate the colour and pattern by hand.
- We seal and polish it to the right sheen.
How to prepare
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Let us know which floor the room is on

Aftercare tips
It’s all simple stuff:
- Keep a trivet by the hob
- Don’t leave spills to soak in
- Use pH-neutral cleaners on stone
- Keep wood oiled
Hot pans should always go on a trivet. Even stone and quartz can be marked by heat.
A chip on an edge can grow, and on laminate, water can get into the core. Repairing it early stops that.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.
Prices and what affects them
Repairs from £95. We do not charge extra for travel to Brynna. The price depends on:
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- The colour and finish to match
- The material and finish
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Brynna. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
Quotes from your pictures
A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Natural light rather than flash
There is no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

What your worktop is made of matters
Granite and stone
Granite and stone chip at edges and cut-outs. The repair is filled and polished to the stone’s finish.
Quartz
Quartz worktops are mostly stone set in resin. We fill and polish chipped edges to match the sheen.

Should you replace it?
