Worktop Repair for Carrog homes
Damaged worktop in Carrog? We repair it in place, mix the colour on the day and back it with a one-year guarantee.
- Repairs from £95
- A heat mark or burn
- Chipped corners

Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a worktop means taking out the damaged top, templating and fitting a replacement and refitting the sink and hob, and it may not match the rest of the kitchen. Repairing the damage leaves the worktop in place. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
Why Carrog clients choose us
- We leave the room as we found it
- We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing

Worktop repair in Carrog without replacing anything
Different worktops need different repairs: we fill and pattern laminate, fill and polish quartz and stone, and sand and refinish wood. The goal is always a repair that blends in. Typical jobs include a heat mark or burn and damage from fitting or building work, in quartz, laminate and solid wood.
You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything is not right, ring us and we’ll come back.

Repairs by material
Wood
Wooden worktops can be sanded, filled and re-oiled, and burns and dents repaired.
Granite and stone
Natural stone worktops chip at edges and around cut-outs. The repair is filled and polished to the stone’s finish.
Keeping it looking good
Nothing complicated is needed:
- Take care with heavy pans near edges
- Do not let water sit on joints
- Oil wooden tops regularly
- Wipe up spills quickly
Hot pans should always go on a trivet. Even stone and quartz can be marked by heat.
Don’t leave damage by the sink, because water gets in and swells the board.
How it works
We turn up when we said we would and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before we open a single tin. Most visits take a few hours, and we leave the room as we found it.
- First we look at the damage and what the worktop is made of.
- The area is cleaned and the edges of the damage prepared.
- We fill the damage with a suitable filler and build up any lost edge.
- We match the colour and pattern by hand.
- We seal or finish the surface to suit the worktop.
How to prepare
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Ensure the area is dry

What worktop repair costs
Prices start from £95. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:
- The type of damage
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Doing more than one item at once
- How easy the damage is to reach
What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.
Getting a price from photos
Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what helps:
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- Something in shot to show the size
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire worktop, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
Do you need worktop repair in Carrog?
Edges and corners chip most frequently, often when something heavy catches the edge.
It’s worth getting a quote if you see:
- Cuts and scratches in the surface
- Scorch marks from pans
- Chips in quartz or granite
- Gouges in the surface
What your quote should include
- What protection goes down before work starts
- How long it needs to cure
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
- Who will actually do the work
Your questions about worktop repair in Carrog
How do I book?
Photos of the damage, a picture of the entire worktop and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before and we’ll plan for it.
Will the repair match a patterned worktop?
Yes. We recreate the pattern by hand so it blends in.
How quickly can you book me in?
We will give you dates with your quote. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.
Is it safe with children and pets around?
Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit. The rest of the house is unaffected.
Is a repair better than a new one?
In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.
Can you repair a burn in a worktop?
In most cases. Send us a picture and we’ll tell you.
Can I fix it myself?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
