Worktop repair in Climping without replacing anything
We repair worktops in place. Most jobs take a few hours, and you can use the worktop again shortly afterwards. We regularly repair quartz, granite & marble and laminate, and common reasons people contact us are a chipped quartz edge and chips on edges and corners.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you are not left on your own once we have gone.

- We clean the damage and remove anything loose.
- It’s filled and levelled with the surface.
- The colour and pattern are built up by hand.
- We seal and polish it to the right sheen.

Getting a price
Most clients in Climping get their price from photos. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.
Advice
How to look after the repair
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. A few tips:
- Always use a trivet for hot pans
- Use pH-neutral cleaners on stone
- Oil wooden tops regularly
- Watch the edges with heavy pans
Let the repair cure for the time we give you before putting anything heavy or hot on it. After that, trivets and chopping boards are your best protection.
A chip on an edge can grow, and on laminate, water can get into the core. An early repair prevents it.
When we’d advise against a repair
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- Deep heat discolouration in quartz, which may not fully disappear
- A top that moves on its units
- Laminate swollen by water from underneath
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
Why repair rather than replace?
An identical replacement may look different next to aged worktops. A repair is matched to what you have now. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.
What you get with us

Different materials, different repairs
Granite and stone
Natural stone worktops chip at edges and around cut-outs. We fill and polish the repair to match the stone.
Solid surface
Solid surface tops are the same material all the way through, so marks can frequently be sanded and refinished.
When to call us in Climping

Climping: your questions answered
Will the repair match a patterned worktop?
We match colour, flecks and veining by hand, so the repair blends into the surface.
When can you do it?
We will give you dates with your quote. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.
Do you cover Climping?
Yes. We cover the whole UK and come to Climping and the rest of West Sussex. Send photos and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Is it messy?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit. The rest of the house is unaffected.
What happens after I send pictures?
We look at the photos and reply with a fixed price and some dates. If anything’s unclear, we’ll ask for another photo.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Most of the time. Tell us what was done before.
