Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Worktop repair in Leeds, done in place

Worktops are expensive to replace and hard to match, especially in an L-shaped or long kitchen. Repairing the damage keeps your kitchen as it is. Common call-outs are for chips in quartz or granite and a dent from a dropped pan, across laminate, quartz and granite & marble.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there is a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

Common questions in Leeds

How do I book?

Photos of the damage, a picture of the entire worktop and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

What if the damage is worse than the photos show?

We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. You won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

In most cases. The old repair comes out first, so mention it when you send pictures.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Generally, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We will tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses.

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are frequently glad to have it sorted.

Do you work in Leeds?

Yes. We cover the whole UK and come to Leeds and the rest of Kent. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

What worktop repair costs

Prices start from £95. There is no area surcharge for Leeds. The price reflects:

  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • The material and finish

Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Leeds. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Quotes from your pictures

We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what we need:

  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • A wider photo showing the entire worktop

The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of pictures through our quote form or ring us. We will say straight away if a repair is the right fix.

Repairs by material

Wood

Timber tops can be sanded and refinished, with burns and dents put right.

Quartz

Quartz worktops are mostly stone set in resin. We fill and polish chipped edges.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

The process

A typical visit goes like this: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, do the job and clear up. Plan for a few hours, depending on the damage. Before we go, we’ll explain how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. We start by checking the damage and the worktop material.
  2. The area is cleaned and the edges of the damage prepared.
  3. We fill with a filler suited to the material and rebuild any missing edge.
  4. We recreate the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. Finally we seal or finish the area to match.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
