Wood

How to care for the repair
Nothing complicated is needed:
- Dry around the sink and joints
- Do not cut directly on the worktop
- Do not knock pans against the edge
- Keep a trivet by the hob
Never put hot pans straight onto the worktop. Heat can mark quartz and stone as well.
Do not leave damage by the sink, as water can get in and cause swelling.
What a repair can’t fix
Not everything can be repaired, and we will tell you before we start. We can’t fix:
- A top that moves on its units
- Water-swollen laminate
- Deep heat discolouration in quartz, which may not fully disappear
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Should you replace it?
Stone and quartz have to be templated and cut, so replacing a section takes time and money. A repair takes a few hours. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
