Our bath repair service in CM20
Whatever the damage, the aim is the same: a smooth, solid repair that blends in. We prepare the area properly, fill and shape it, then match the colour and gloss so it’s level with the surrounding surface. We work on cast iron enamel, pressed steel enamel and roll-top & freestanding, and common reasons people get in touch are a failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting and a cracked acrylic bath.
You do not need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and start once you’re happy with the plan. It normally takes a morning or an afternoon, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
- Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.
What you will pay
Our bath repair starts from £95. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
What you get with us
- CHAS and Constructionline accredited
- Honest advice, even when it means no job
- No need to remove anything
- Colour mixed on the day to match
Ask for a price
We price from pictures so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.
Near you in Little Parndon

You will also find Bmat Stem Academy (0.7 miles south-east) and Harlow Marsh (1.1 miles north-east). For rail, the closest station is Harlow Town station, roughly 0.6 miles north-east. A little further out are Mark Hall Cycle Museum (1.7 miles east) and Princess Alexandra Hospital (within half a mile south). For a walk, there’s Hunsdon Mead.
Repair or replace?
If the rest of the bath is in good condition, a repair is almost always the better choice. It costs less, takes less time and causes far less upheaval, and you keep the bath you chose. If the whole surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we will tell you.
What your quote should include
- How long the guarantee is and what it covers
- Whether the price covers travel
- Whether a trained technician does the job
- How long it needs to cure
Different materials, different repairs
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that is the part we put right.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. They do not rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and a crack only stays repaired if it’s supported underneath.
For landlords and businesses
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in CM20 as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
Keeping it looking good
A little care keeps the finish looking good. Our advice:
- Do not leave razors or cans standing in the bath
- Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby
- Keep abrasive pads and gritty cleaners away from the bath
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
A repaired bath needs no special treatment, just sensible cleaning. Avoid bleach-based and gritty cleaners.
Until we visit, a strip of waterproof tape over the damage helps, so water can’t get in. Take it off before we arrive.
Signs you need bath repair
Heavy toiletries are the biggest single cause of chips. Taps and wastes cause problems too: water sits around them, and any chip there soon rusts.
The most common problems we’re called about are:
- A hole punched through by something heavy
- A chip where the taps sit
- Scuffs and scratches in the surface
- A chipped rim or side
CM20: your questions answered
Can you redo an old repair?
Yes. We take out the old repair and do it properly. Tell us about it when you send pictures.
How quickly can you book me in?
That depends on our diary for your area. Send photos with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Usually, yes. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so let us know about it.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Just ensure the landlord agrees.
Is a cracked acrylic bath repairable?
Most of the time. The back of the crack is strengthened before the front is filled and refinished, so access behind the panel is important.
Is the work guaranteed?
Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.
When can I have a bath again?
Most baths can be used the following day. We’ll tell you the exact curing time when we finish.
