Worktop repair in Newall Green

Worktop repair in Newall Green, done in place

A new worktop rarely matches the old one, especially in an L-shaped or long kitchen. A repair leaves the kitchen untouched. We regularly repair laminate, quartz and solid wood, and the jobs we see most are damage from fitting or building work and cuts and scratches in the surface.

Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee.

Speckled stone tiles with chips repaired to match the pattern

Newall Green: your questions answered

Is my repair covered?

Yes: twelve months. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Will the repair match a patterned worktop?

Yes. We recreate the pattern by hand so it blends in.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Of course. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Just add the extra items to your photos and you’ll get one combined price.

Do I need to clear the kitchen?

Only the area we’re working on. We protect the rest of the kitchen.

Do you cover Newall Green?

We do. Repair technicians travel to Newall Green from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.

Can a quartz edge be fixed?

Yes, often. We match the colour and polish the repair.

Is there a call-out fee?

We do not add a call-out fee. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

Keeping it looking good

Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts:

  • Oil wooden tops regularly
  • Take care with heavy pans near edges
  • Keep joints and edges dry
  • Use pH-neutral cleaners on stone

Hot pans should always go on a trivet. Even stone and quartz can be marked by heat.

Damage near the sink is worth repairing quickly, as water can get in and cause swelling.

What we are called out for in Newall Green

Most worktop damage takes a second: a hot pan put down without a trivet, or a heavy pan knocked against the edge. Scratches build up gradually from knives and grit.

Signs it’s time to call us include:

  • A heat mark or burn
  • Chips on edges and corners
  • Snagging damage in a new kitchen
  • Dents and gouges

What your quote should include

  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long
  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
  • What aftercare is recommended
  • How the colour is matched

Honest limits

In fairness, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:

  • Laminate that has blown or swollen
  • A worktop that has moved because its support has failed
  • A cracked stone top that’s unsupported

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

What affects the price in Newall Green

Repairs from £95. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:

  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • How easy the damage is to reach

We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Newall Green. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Different materials, different repairs

Laminate

Laminate worktops have a printed decorative layer over a board core. We fill the damage and recreate the pattern.

Wood

Timber tops can be sanded and refinished, and burns and dents repaired.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
