Worktop repair in Peel

Worktop repair in Peel, done in place

You don’t need a new worktop because of one mark. We fill and refinish the damage so it blends into the pattern. We are frequently asked to fix chips on edges and corners and damage around the sink cut-out, on solid wood, quartz and laminate.

You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there’s a problem and we’ll come back.

Repair or replace in Peel?

Replacing even one length of worktop means templating, cutting, fitting and often a new sink and hob connection. A repair is a few hours with everything left in place. Prices start from £95. We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Why Peel clients choose us

  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
  • Nothing taken out or refitted

Read our prices page.

Honest limits

We will not take on work that will not last, so these are the limits:

  • Laminate swollen by water from underneath
  • Failed support under the worktop
  • Discolouration deep in quartz

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Laminate
  • Solid surface (such as Corian)
  • Quartz
  • Granite & marble
  • Solid wood

Materials and what they mean for the repair

Wood

Wooden worktops can be sanded, filled and re-oiled, with burns and dents put right.

Laminate

Laminate is a printed surface bonded to a board. We fill damage and paint in the pattern by hand.

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

What we’re called out for in Peel

Sink and hob cut-outs are weak points, and that’s where cracks often begin.

Keep an eye out for these signs:

  • Damage from fitting or building work
  • A damaged sink edge
  • A dent from a dropped pan
  • A heat mark or burn

What your quote should include

  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • Whether they match the colour on site
  • How to look after the finish

How to compare quotes

Work for landlords and builders

Letting agents often send us pictures straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Peel use us as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it generally costs far less than a refit.

The process

The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can carry on at home. We protect the area first, then the work takes a few hours. At the end we talk you through how soon it can be used and how to look after it.

  1. We protect the rest of the kitchen.
  2. The damage is cleaned and any loose material removed.
  3. We fill it and level it with the worktop.
  4. The colour and pattern are built up by hand.
  5. We seal and polish it to the right sheen.

Before we arrive

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day

How we price worktop repair

Prices start from £95. There is no charge for travel to Peel. The price comes down to:

  • What the surface is made of
  • The type of damage
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • How many areas need work

Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Peel. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Getting a price from photos

Two or three clear photos are usually enough. It helps if you send:

  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.
