Worktop repair for Stoke homes

How we handle worktop repair in Stoke

You don’t need a new worktop because of one mark. We fill and refinish the damage to blend into the surface around it. We work on solid wood, granite & marble and solid surface (such as Corian), and the jobs we see most are cuts and scratches in the surface and dents and gouges.

All our work comes with our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Derbyshire.

Speckled stone tiles with chips repaired to match the pattern

For landlords and businesses

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.

The process

We agree an arrival time beforehand. On site, it takes a few hours for most jobs. We leave the room clean.

  1. We look at the damage and the worktop’s finish.
  2. Burnt or loose material is cut back.
  3. We fill and shape the damaged area.
  4. We recreate the pattern, flecks or grain.
  5. We finish it to match the sheen and leave it to cure.

How to prepare

  • Make sure the area is dry
  • Open a window if you can
  • Keep a parking space free if you can

Your questions about worktop repair in Stoke

Is there a guarantee?

All our work carries our one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Generally, yes. Let us know what was used before.

Are you a vetted contractor?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

What happens after I send photos?

We come back with a fixed price, typically with dates to choose from. There is no obligation to book.

What information do you need?

Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787.

Do the materials smell?

There may be a mild smell during the work, which fades afterwards.

Do I have to be there?

We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.

Why repair rather than replace?

Stone and quartz have to be templated and cut, so replacing a section takes time and money. A repair takes a few hours. Our worktop repair starts from £95. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

What you get with us

  • One visit for most repairs
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • Nothing taken out or refitted

See our prices page.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.

Honest limits

We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair won’t do:

  • A worktop that has moved because its support has failed
  • Discolouration deep in quartz
  • Laminate that has blown or swollen

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before booking.

What we work on

  • Solid wood
  • Granite & marble
  • Laminate
  • Solid surface (such as Corian)
  • Quartz

How to look after the repair

A little care keeps the finish looking good. Our advice:

  • Take care with heavy pans near edges
  • Chopping boards prevent scratches
  • Don’t let water sit on joints
  • Never put hot pans down directly

Use chopping boards and trivets, wipe up spills promptly, and re-oil wooden worktops regularly.

Don’t leave damage by the sink, because water gets in and swells the board.
