What worktop repair costs

Prices start from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Wareham. The price reflects:

  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • How much damage there is

Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Wareham. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Send pictures for a quote

Photographing the damage takes a minute. Please include:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Details of any past repairs
  • A photo taken from further back
  • Something in shot to show the size

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire worktop, we can price the job.

How we handle worktop repair in Wareham

Different worktops need different repairs: laminate is filled and patterned, quartz and stone are filled and polished, and wood is sanded and refinished. The goal is always a repair that blends in. We regularly repair granite & marble, solid surface (such as Corian) and quartz, and people most often call us about chips caused during installation and chipped corners.

All our work comes with a one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Dorset.

Looking after it afterwards

Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. A few tips:

  • Wipe up spills quickly
  • Re-oil timber worktops
  • Don’t cut directly on the worktop
  • Keep joints and edges dry

Wipe water away from joints and around the sink, especially on laminate and wood.

Edge chips can get bigger, and water can reach the core of laminate. Repairing it early stops that.

Why repair rather than replace?

Stone and quartz have to be templated and cut, so replacing a section takes time and money. Repairing it is a few hours’ work. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Repairs by material

Laminate

Laminate is a printed surface bonded to a board. We fill damage and paint in the pattern by hand.

Solid surface

Solid surface tops are the same material all the way through, so marks can frequently be sanded and refinished.

The process

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. It usually takes a few hours, depending on the damage, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. We protect the rest of the kitchen.
  2. The damage is cleaned and any loose material removed.
  3. We fill it and level it with the worktop.
  4. We recreate the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. The repair is sealed and polished to match.

Preparing for the visit

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work

How to get a price

We price from pictures so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Wareham

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Dorset and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.

Letting agents often send us photos straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.
