Landlords, agents and businesses in Woodlands

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Woodlands as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it usually costs far less than a refit.

About our worktop repair in Woodlands

A new worktop rarely matches the old one, particularly where several lengths join. A repair leaves the kitchen untouched. Our repair technicians work on solid surface (such as Corian), quartz and solid wood, and people most often call us about chips on edges and corners and scorch marks from pans.

We guarantee the work for a year. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

Common questions in Woodlands

Can you repair a burn in a worktop?

Frequently, yes. The burn is cut back, filled and patterned to match.

What happens next?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote with dates.

Is there a guarantee?

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

How do I book?

Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787.

Do you cover the whole of Doncaster?

The whole UK, including all of Doncaster. Just include your postcode and we will confirm dates.

Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?

Yes, we often do. Removing the old work can add time, and that is in the quote.

Will the repair match a patterned worktop?

Yes. We recreate the pattern by hand.

Will there be a smell?

There can be some smell while we work, which is why we ventilate. It clears as the materials cure.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.

How the visit works

It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, protect the area, and get on with the job, which normally takes a few hours. If we find something your photos didn’t show, we’ll explain it before carrying on.

  1. The area around the damage is protected.
  2. The damage is cleaned and any loose material removed.
  3. We fill it and level it with the worktop.
  4. We recreate the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. We seal and polish it to the right sheen.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

What affects the price in Woodlands

Repairs from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Woodlands. The price reflects:

  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • The colour and finish to match
  • The material and finish
  • Whether we combine several jobs

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book.

Send photos for a quote

We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what to send:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

Upload pictures of the damage and one of the entire item, with your DN6 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a worktop means taking out the damaged top, cutting and fitting a new one and reconnecting the sink and hob, and it may not match the rest of the kitchen. A repair keeps your existing worktop. Our worktop repair starts from £95. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Why us?

  • One visit for most repairs
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year

What a repair can’t fix

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • A worktop that has moved because its support has failed
  • Cracks right through stone that has moved
  • Discolouration deep in quartz

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

What we work on

  • Laminate
  • Quartz
  • Solid wood
  • Granite & marble
  • Solid surface (such as Corian)

Looking after it afterwards

Aftercare is simple, and it makes a real difference:

  • Re-oil timber worktops
  • Do not knock pans against the edge
  • Keep a trivet by the hob
  • Keep joints and edges dry

Always use a trivet and chopping board, wipe up spills promptly, and re-oil wooden worktops regularly.

Edge chips can get bigger, and on laminate, water can get into the core. An early repair prevents it.
