Landlord and trade work in Allt

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

Bath re-enamelling in Allt, done in place

We re-enamel a lot of period and roll-top baths, which are heavy, hard to move and costly to replace. Doing them in place keeps an original feature. Our repair technicians work on acrylic baths, basins & shower trays and pressed steel baths, and common reasons people get in touch are stains that won’t shift and a peeling or bubbling previous coating.

Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee in Allt and across Carmarthenshire.

Your questions about bath re-enamelling in Allt

Is my repair covered?

Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

What does bath re-enamelling cost?

Resurfacing from £350. Every job gets a fixed price based on pictures of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.

Can you make a coloured bath white?

Yes, white is the usual choice. Mention the colour you want when you send photos.

Do you resurface freestanding baths?

Yes, often. We resurface the inside, and the outside can be refinished too.

Can you quote from pictures?

Normally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.

Can pets and children be at home?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include photos of each item.

Does someone need to be in?

We need someone to let us in. You do not need to watch us work.

Looking after it afterwards

Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts:

  • Fix dripping taps quickly
  • Don’t use the bath until it has fully cured
  • Keep toiletries on a shelf rather than in the bath
  • Wash away dyes and oils after use

Give the finish its full curing time before using the bath. After that, a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs.

Worn enamel only gets rougher with time, and any rust spreads underneath. Resurfacing sooner means less repair work first.

Repairing versus replacing in Allt

Replacing a bath can take several days across several trades. Resurfacing takes one technician and typically a day, and the bath is usable the day after. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Instead of hourly rates, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.

What your bath is made of matters

Roll-top and period baths

We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.

Acrylic

Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.

DIY kit or professional repair?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

How we price bath re-enamelling

Prices start from £350. You’ll know the full cost before booking. We take into account:

  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • What kind of damage it is
  • How hard the colour is to match

A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

How to get a fixed quote

The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • One picture of the entire bath
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Details of any past repairs

The quickest way to a price is to send two or three photos using our quote form or ring us. We will say straight away whether it can be repaired.

How the visit works

We turn up at the time we agreed with you, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before any work starts. The work itself takes the best part of a day, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
  2. We remove the old silicone and deep clean the bath.
  3. Chips, rust and pitting are repaired.
  4. The surface is keyed and primed for the new finish.
  5. The new finish is sprayed on in several coats and left to cure.

Before we arrive

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Open a window if you can

Getting a price

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and you will get a fixed quote back. Quotes are free and you’re under no obligation.
