Bath re-enamelling in Bermuda, done in place
Re-enamelling is a one-day job for most baths, and you can use the bath the following day. Taps, tiles, panels and plumbing all stay in place. We’re frequently asked to fix staining under the taps and around the waste and a coloured bath you want in white, in Victorian roll-tops, cast iron baths and acrylic baths.
You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything is not right, ring us and we’ll sort it.

When a repair is not the answer
Not everything can be repaired, and we’ll tell you before we start. We cannot fix:
- Problems we can’t see until an old finish comes off
- A metal bath with a through crack
- Leaking taps or wastes (a plumber’s job)
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Replacing a bath can take several days across several trades. Resurfacing takes one technician and normally a day. Prices start from £350. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Acrylic
We resurface acrylic baths as well, using a system that bonds to acrylic. The bath needs to be firm and well supported for the finish to last.
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.
Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. You’ll know the full cost before you book. We take into account:
- How many areas need work
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- How easy the damage is to reach
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Bermuda. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Getting a price from pictures
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- Natural light rather than flash
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- One picture of the entire bath
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
For a price in Bermuda, the easiest route is photos: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

- Stains that will not shift

What happens on the day
Here’s how a visit normally runs: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, do the job and tidy away. Plan for the best part of a day from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and how to care for it.
- First we look the bath over and confirm the finish.
- Taps, tiles and the floor are masked off.
- We degrease the bath, fix any damage and key the surface.
- Primer and finish coats are applied.
- The masking comes off, we tidy up and tell you when it can be used.
Preparing for the visit
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
Get a quote
We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.
Advice
Keeping it looking good
Nothing complicated is needed:
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent
- Store bottles off the bath
- Repair dripping taps early
- Do not use the bath until it has fully cured
Treat the new finish gently at first: give it the full curing time, then clean it gently. From then on, avoid abrasives and suction mats.
On a worn bath, rust spots keep spreading and make the job bigger. It’s simpler to resurface before they spread.
Your questions about bath re-enamelling in Bermuda
Do you cover Bermuda?
We do. Technicians travel to Bermuda from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
What information do you need?
Some pictures, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, access to the room.
Someone resurfaced my bath and it’s peeling. Can you help?
In most cases. We strip the failing coating and resurface it properly. Tell us about it when you ask for a quote.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Generally, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.
Can you make a coloured bath white?
Yes. Coloured baths can be resurfaced in white, and the basin and toilet can be done too.
How long is the bath unusable?
Usually a day, then it’s ready to use the following day. Deeply pitted baths may need a second day.
Are you accredited?
We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
Are there extra charges for Bermuda?
We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed quote includes everything.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
