Bath re-enamelling in Bolney without replacing anything
Cast iron, steel, acrylic, roll-top and period baths can all be resurfaced. Several coats of finish go on over a bonding primer, once the bath has been cleaned, repaired and prepared. We work on cast iron baths, pressed steel baths and basins & shower trays, and people most frequently call us about a peeling or bubbling previous coating and chips and rust in more than one place.
Every job is backed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Work for landlords and builders
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

When a repair isn’t the answer
A repair isn’t always the answer, and we’d rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:
- A poorly supported acrylic bath, until it’s firmed up
- A bath split right through the body
- Anything hidden under an old coating, until we remove it
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.
Materials we work on in Bolney

What we are called out for in Bolney
The gloss on enamel is thin, and every scrub with an abrasive cleaner takes a little away. Eventually the surface turns porous and stains.
Send us a photo if you notice any of these:
- Lots of chips and rust spots
- Enamel that is lost its shine and feels rough
- A coloured bath you want in white
- An original cast iron bath that needs restoring
Before booking anyone
- How soon you can use it again
- What aftercare is recommended
- If travel is included in the price
- Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
Repair or replace: which is better?
For a sound bath, resurfacing costs far less than replacement, once you add removal, plumbing, tiling and decorating to the price of a new bath. It’s much quicker too. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A repair usually costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £350. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:
- The type of damage
- How easy the damage is to reach
- How many areas need work
- How hard the colour is to match
Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
Send pictures for a quote
We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what to send:
- Any details about the material
- Something in shot to show the size
- Details of any past repairs
- Natural light rather than flash
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole bath, we can give you a fixed quote the same day in most cases.
How to look after the repair
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
- Store bottles off the bath
- Don’t use the bath until it has fully cured
- Do not let dyes or oils sit on the finish
Stick to mild, non-abrasive cleaners, do not use suction bath mats, and keep bottles and razors off the surface.
Leave a peeling coating alone. Water gets under it and the damage spreads, so it’s better to have it stripped and redone.
What happens on the day
From the moment we arrive, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. We mask off everything nearby, the job takes a full day, depending on what we find, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- The bath is cleaned, degreased and any chips or rust repaired.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- Several coats of new finish are sprayed on.
- We leave it to cure, and it’s generally ready the day after.
Before we arrive
- Make sure the area is dry
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
Ask for a price
The quickest way to a price is to send two or three photos through our quote form or call us. We will say straight away if a repair is the right fix.

FAQs for Bolney
Can landlords book you?
We do, regularly. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
Do you charge for travel?
No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.
Do the materials smell?
It depends on the job, but often a little. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.
Can you do the outside of a roll-top?
Yes, roll-tops are a big part of our work. We resurface the inside, and the outside can be refinished too.
Will it make a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we’ve finished.
How long will the bath be out of use?
Most baths are done in a day and can be used the day after. We give you timings with the quote.
Is there a guarantee?
All our work carries our one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.
How long does re-enamelling last?
That depends on preparation and how the bath is treated. With good preparation and gentle cleaning it lasts a long time, and our work is guaranteed for a year.
What your bath is made of matters
Roll-top and period baths
Freestanding roll-tops can be done inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths can be resurfaced too, with a coating system suited to acrylic. The bath needs to be firm and well supported for the finish to last.
