Bath Re-enamelling for Bunker's Hill homes
Fixed-price bath re-enamelling in Bunker's Hill and the surrounding area, usually in one visit.
- Resurfacing from £350
- A peeling or bubbling previous coating
- A coloured bath you want in white

Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a bath can take several days across several trades. Resurfacing takes one technician and usually a day, with the bath back in use the day after. Prices start from £350. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

About our bath re-enamelling in Bunker's Hill
After re-enamelling, the bath has a smooth, glossy, new-looking surface, without any of the disruption of replacing it. It’s ideal if you like your bathroom but not the state of the bath. If you are dealing with worn patches where water runs and sits and an outdated colour you’d like to change, we can normally put it right, whatever the material.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you’re covered after the visit.

When we’d advise against a repair
A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:
- A poorly supported acrylic bath, until it’s firmed up
- Damage hidden under a previous coating, until it’s stripped back
- Leaking taps or wastes (a plumber’s job)
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.
What we work on

- Acrylic baths
- Pressed steel baths
- Victorian roll-tops
What we do, step by step
Once we are through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. We mask off everything nearby, the job takes the best part of a day, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- We clean and degrease the bath and repair any chips or rust.
- The surface is prepared and a bonding primer applied.
- Several coats of new finish are sprayed on.
- Once cured, normally by the following day, the bath is ready.

How to get a price

What affects the price in Bunker's Hill
Prices start from £350. We price every job individually, from your photos. What matters most is:
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Whether we combine several jobs
- How hard the colour is to match
- Access to the area
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.
How to get a fixed price
When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A picture taken from further back
- The material, if you know it
You don’t need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.
How to care for the repair
Simple care helps the repair last. Our advice:
- Keep suction mats out of the bath
- A quick wipe after use keeps limescale away
- Rinse off hair dye, oils and bath bombs immediately
- Respect the curing time we give you
Use mild, non-abrasive cleaners, don’t use suction bath mats, and keep bottles and razors off the surface.
Avoid scrubbing a dull bath with abrasive cleaners. It removes more of the surface and makes resurfacing more work.

What else we do in Bunker's Hill
Should I try a DIY kit first?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
Common problems we fix in Bunker's Hill
Enamel wears gradually. Years of cleaning, hard water and hot baths wear the gloss away, normally first under the taps and around the waste.
Typical reasons for a call-out include:
- A peeling or bubbling previous coating
- A period or roll-top bath worth keeping
- Several chips and rust patches
- Brown or grey marks that don’t clean off

Questions from Bunker's Hill
Do I have to be there?
We need someone to let us in. You don’t need to watch us work.
Is there a guarantee?
Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.
Do you hold any accreditations?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
How long is the bath unusable?
Generally a day, then it’s ready to use the following day. Deeply pitted baths may need a second day.
Can you change the colour of my bath?
Yes. We can resurface a coloured bath in white, and we can do the rest of the suite as well.
How do I get a price for bath re-enamelling in Bunker's Hill?
Prices start from £350. Because every job differs, we price from pictures. You’ll get a fixed figure before booking.
Can you repair several things at once?
Of course, and it normally saves money. Send pictures of everything together and we’ll quote them together.
Does the bath have to be removed?
No, it stays where it is. We work on the bath in place, with the room masked and ventilated.
Different materials, different repairs
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are the classic candidate for re-enamelling. The body lasts for generations; only the enamel wears, so resurfacing gives them a new life.
Pressed steel
Pressed steel baths take a new finish well, once any rust has been treated. Rust around the waste is common on steel, so we pay close attention there.
