Bath Re-enamelling in Carwe
Full bath re-enamelling and resurfacing at your home in Carwe, with a one-year guarantee on every repair.
- Resurfacing from £350
- A coating lifting around the plughole
- A dull, rough surface that won’t come clean

Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. There is no charge for travel to Carwe. The price comes down to:
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- Access to the area
- What kind of damage it is
- How many areas need work
Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.
How to get a fixed price
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- A wider photo showing the entire bath
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- The material, if you know it
Send us a picture of the damage and one of the entire item, with your SA17 postcode, and we will come back with a fixed quote.
Bath re-enamelling in Carwe, done in place
We re-enamel plenty of period and roll-top baths, which would be difficult and expensive to replace. Resurfacing them in place keeps the original bath. We’re frequently asked to fix a coating lifting around the plughole and a bath that stays dull however much you clean it, across basins & shower trays, Victorian roll-tops and cast iron baths.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something is not right in that time, we come back and put it right.

Should you replace it?
Replacing the bath means a plumber, lifting out the old bath, re-tiling or making good the walls and several days without a working bathroom. Resurfacing gives the bath a new finish with the bath left where it is. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Compared with replacing, repairing generally costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Carwe: your questions answered
Can you quote from photos?
In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the photos can’t show what we need.
How quickly can you book me in?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.
How long does re-enamelling last?
That depends on preparation and how the bath is treated. With good preparation and gentle cleaning it lasts a long time, and it’s guaranteed for a year.
Can you resurface a pink bath in white?
Yes, most people go for white. Tell us what you’d like when you ask for a quote.
Do you cover the whole of Carmarthenshire?
We cover the whole UK, including Carwe and the rest of Carmarthenshire. Send your postcode with your pictures and we will confirm dates.
Do the materials smell?
There may be a mild smell during the work, which fades afterwards.
Someone resurfaced my bath and it’s peeling. Can you help?
Usually, yes. The old coating comes off before we resurface it. Tell us about it when you ask for a quote.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Of course, and it generally saves money. Just add the extra items to your pictures and you’ll get one combined price.
Aftercare tips
Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:
- Avoid suction-cup mats
- Fix dripping taps quickly
- Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
- Respect the curing time we give you
Dry the bath after use if possible, particularly with hard water, and rinse away any product left on the surface.
Don’t try to scrub a worn bath back to shine. It removes more of the surface and makes resurfacing more work.
The process
You don’t need to empty the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and start once you are happy with the plan. Most jobs take a full day, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
- We remove the old silicone and deep clean the bath.
- We repair chips, rust spots and pitting.
- The surface is keyed and primed for the new finish.
- Several coats of finish are sprayed on, then it cures until the following day.
Getting ready for the visit
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Let us know about parking or access
- Clear the area around the damage
How to get a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, add your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

What your bath is made of matters
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.
Pressed steel
Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.
Landlords, agents and businesses in Carwe
We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we’ll arrange it.
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
What a repair can’t fix
Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits too:
- Acrylic that moves when you stand in it
- Steel that has corroded right through
- Damage hidden under a previous coating, until it’s stripped back
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before you book.
Materials we work on in Carwe
- Pressed steel baths
- Cast iron baths
- Acrylic baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Basins & shower trays
Can I fix it myself?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
