Bath Re-enamelling in Trimsaran
Damaged bath in Trimsaran? We repair it in place, match it on site and back it with a one-year guarantee.
- Resurfacing from £350
- Several chips and rust patches
- A dull, rough surface that will not come clean

What bath re-enamelling costs
Prices start from £350. We give every job a fixed price from photos. This is what makes a difference:
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- How many areas need work
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Whether we combine several jobs
Instead of hourly rates, we price the entire job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.
Getting a price from photos
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- A wider photo showing the entire bath
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire bath, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
Bath re-enamelling in Trimsaran without replacing anything
After cleaning, repairing and priming, we spray on the new finish. Most of the work, and most of the durability, is in the preparation, so we do not cut corners on it. Common call-outs are for several chips and rust patches and an old resurfacing that’s failing, across acrylic baths, pressed steel baths and Victorian roll-tops.
Big or small, you get the same one-year guarantee in Trimsaran and across Carmarthenshire.

Keeping it looking good
It’s all simple stuff, just a few sensible habits:
- Keep toiletries on a shelf rather than in the bath
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent
- Respect the curing time we give you
- A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
Rinse away dyes, oils and bath bombs straight after use, as they can stain. Repair dripping taps promptly.
Worn enamel only gets rougher with time, and any rust spreads underneath. Resurfacing sooner means less repair work first.

Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing the bath means a plumber, removing a heavy bath, making good the walls and tiles and several days without a working bathroom. Re-enamelling gives the bath a new finish with the bath left where it is. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before you book, with nothing added on the day.

Advice
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it relies on good support. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
Pressed steel
Pressed steel baths take a new finish well, as long as any rust is dealt with first. Steel often rusts by the plughole, so we pay close attention there.
Landlord and trade work in Trimsaran
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.
Common problems we fix in Trimsaran
Previous coatings can fail too, peeling around the waste or bubbling. We strip what’s failing and start again.
Look out for any of the following:
- An old resurfacing that’s failing
- Several chips and rust patches
- Brown or grey marks that don’t clean off
- A coloured bath you want in white
Questions to ask before booking
- How soon you can use it again
- Whether they match the colour on site
- How the room is protected while they work
- Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
Trimsaran: your questions answered
Can you fix a peeling bath coating?
In most cases. The old coating comes off before we resurface it. Mention it when you send photos.
Are you a vetted contractor?
We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, so the repair is not disturbed while it cures.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Usually, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we will say so.
Do you charge for travel?
Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.
What do you need from me?
Photos of the damage, a picture of the whole bath and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.
What happens next?
We come back with a fixed price, normally with dates to choose from. There is no obligation to book.
Do you need to take the bath out?
No. We resurface it in place, so nothing else is disturbed.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
