Bath Re-enamelling in Challney
Full bath re-enamelling and resurfacing for householders, landlords and businesses in Challney. Free, fixed quotes from your photos.
- Resurfacing from £350
- A peeling or bubbling previous coating
- Stains that won’t shift

Why repair rather than replace?
A refit takes several trades and several days. Re-enamelling takes one technician and generally one day, and the bath can be used the day after. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
What you get with us
- Colour-matched on site
- One-year guarantee on every repair
- Work done at your home or business
- No extra charge for your area

How we handle bath re-enamelling in Challney
Many of the baths we re-enamel are period roll-tops, which would be difficult and expensive to replace. Doing them in place keeps an original feature. Common call-outs are for an original cast iron bath that needs restoring and a coating lifting around the plughole, in Victorian roll-tops, cast iron baths and acrylic baths.
You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we will sort it.

What we can’t put right
In fairness, some problems need a different fix:
- A metal bath with a through crack
- Plumbing leaks, which need a plumber
- Acrylic that moves when you stand in it
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.
Surfaces we repair
- Victorian roll-tops
- Basins & shower trays
- Cast iron baths
- Pressed steel baths
- Acrylic baths
Can I fix it myself?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
How to care for the repair
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. These habits help:
- Get any chip repaired quickly
- Leave the bath for the full curing time before using it
- Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
- Keep toiletries on a shelf rather than in the bath
Avoid hair dye, bath bombs and oils sitting on the surface, because they can mark the finish. Fix dripping taps quickly.
Do not try to scrub a worn bath back to shine. It removes more of the surface.

FAQs for Challney
Someone resurfaced my bath and it’s peeling. Can you help?
Generally, yes. We strip the failing coating and resurface it properly. Tell us about it when you ask for a quote.
Is it safe with children and pets around?
On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children.
Can landlords book you?
Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners in Challney.
Can you quote from pictures?
Usually, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.
Can you change the colour of my bath?
Yes, white is the usual choice. Tell us what you’d like when you ask for a quote.
How long will the bath be out of use?
One day for most baths, ready the day after. We will confirm timings when we quote.
What information do you need?
Some pictures, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, access to the room.
Will the bath be moved?
No. We resurface it in place, so nothing else is disturbed.
What we do, step by step
You do not need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we’re doing. It typically takes a full day, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.
- We sheet, mask and ventilate the room.
- We remove the old silicone and deep clean the bath.
- We repair chips, rust spots and pitting.
- We key the bath and apply a bonding primer.
- The new finish is sprayed on in several coats and left to cure until the next day.
How to prepare
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Let us know which floor the room is on

Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:
- Doing more than one item at once
- How easy the damage is to reach
- How much damage there is
- The material
There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
How to get a fixed quote
We price nearly every job from photos. This is what we need:
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- Any details about the material
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Details of any past repairs
No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we will come back with a fixed figure.
