Bath Re-enamelling for Chellington homes
Fixed-price bath re-enamelling in Chellington and the surrounding area, done in a single visit in most cases and guaranteed for a year.
- Resurfacing from £350
- A bath in a colour that no longer suits
- Chips and rust in more than one place

Do you need bath re-enamelling in Chellington?
Enamel’s shine is only skin deep, and abrasive cleaning slowly wears it away. After years of use, the surface becomes porous and stains easily.
These are the problems we’re asked about most:
- Worn patches where water runs and sits
- A bath in a colour that no longer suits
- A dull, rough surface that will not come clean
- Staining under the taps and around the waste

How we handle bath re-enamelling in Chellington
We re-enamel a lot of period and roll-top baths, which would be difficult and expensive to replace. Doing them in place keeps an original feature. We work on Victorian roll-tops, basins & shower trays and pressed steel baths, and common reasons people get in touch are a dull, rough surface that won’t come clean and a period or roll-top bath worth keeping.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard.

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that is what we repair.
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.
Why repair rather than replace?
A refit takes several trades and several days. Re-enamelling takes one technician and generally one day, with the bath ready the day after. Prices start from £350. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Chellington: your questions answered
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
We’re happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Get your landlord’s agreement first.
Can pets and children be at home?
Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day.
Is my repair covered?
Yes: twelve months. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Of course, and it normally saves money. Send pictures of everything together and we will quote them together.
Is there any odour?
Expect a mild smell while we are working, which fades afterwards.
Can you do the outside of a roll-top?
Yes. We can do the inside and outside if you’d like.
Can you make a coloured bath white?
Yes. We can resurface a coloured bath in white, and we can do the rest of the suite as well.
When can you do it?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.
How the visit works
We turn up when we said we would and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. The work itself takes a full day, and the room is left clean and tidy.
- The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
- We remove the old silicone and deep clean the bath.
- We repair chips, rust spots and pitting.
- We key the bath and apply a bonding primer.
- The new finish is sprayed on in several coats and left to cure until the next day.
Getting ready for the visit
- Make sure the room can be ventilated
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area

DIY kit or professional repair?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
