If the bath is sound, re-enamelling is generally much cheaper than replacing it, when you count removal, plumbing, tiling and decorating. It’s also far quicker. Prices start from £350. We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
What you get with us
- One-year guarantee on every repair
- One price list for the entire UK
- Normally one visit, start to finish
- Rooms protected and left tidy

Bath re-enamelling in Cilfynydd without replacing anything
We re-enamel plenty of period and roll-top baths, which would be difficult and expensive to replace. Resurfacing them in place keeps the original bath. We work on pressed steel baths, basins & shower trays and acrylic baths, and common reasons people contact us are brown or grey marks that don’t clean off and lots of chips and rust spots.
Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee.

What we can’t put right
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- A metal bath with a through crack
- A bath that’s rusted through
- An acrylic bath that flexes badly underfoot
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.
What we work on
- Victorian roll-tops
- Basins & shower trays
- Pressed steel baths
- Cast iron baths
- Acrylic baths
For landlords and businesses
For anyone letting property in or around Cilfynydd, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send photos for each address and we will come back with a combined price.
Letting agents frequently send us photos straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
What your bath is made of matters
Roll-top and period baths
Freestanding roll-tops can be done inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.
Acrylic
We resurface acrylic baths as well, with a coating system suited to acrylic. It must be solid and not flex underfoot.
What we do, step by step
When we visit, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job typically takes most of the day. We clean up when we’re done and let you know when you can use it again.
- We mask and protect the room and ventilate it.
- Next we degrease the bath and fix chips and rust spots.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray several coats of new enamel finish.
- Once cured, normally by the day after, the bath is ready.
Preparing for the visit
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
How to get a price
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole bath, we can price the job the same day in most cases.
Advice
Should I try a DIY kit first?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
How we price bath re-enamelling
Resurfacing from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Cilfynydd. What changes the price is:
- What the surface is made of
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- How many areas need work
What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.
Getting a price from pictures
You can take the photos on your phone. Just make sure we can see:
- Details of any past repairs
- Where you are, by postcode
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- The material, if you know it
If you are in Cilfynydd and want a price, photos are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.
Looking after it afterwards
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- A quick wipe after use keeps limescale away
- Do not leave a chip unrepaired
- Respect the curing time we give you
- Keep suction mats out of the bath
A quick rinse and wipe after use helps, especially in hard water areas, to stop limescale building up.
The longer worn enamel is left, the rougher it gets, and any rust spreads underneath. Resurfacing sooner means less repair work first.

Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We will tell you when the room can be used again.
