Bath re-enamelling & resurfacing in Fort Augustus, Highland
Our technicians come to Fort Augustus for full bath re-enamelling and resurfacing. Nothing is taken out, with a one-year guarantee.
- Resurfacing from £350
- Several chips and rust patches
- A bath that stays dull however much you clean it

Keeping it looking good
Simple care helps the repair last. We recommend:
- Use washing-up liquid and a soft cloth
- Don’t leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
- Don’t use the bath until it has fully cured
- Have chips seen to early
Wipe the bath dry after use where you can, and rinse away any product left on the surface.
Worn enamel only gets rougher with time, and rust spots spread under the surface. Resurfacing sooner means less repair work first.
Bath re-enamelling in Fort Augustus, done in place
We re-enamel a lot of period and roll-top baths, which are heavy, hard to move and costly to replace. Resurfacing them in place keeps the original bath. Common call-outs are for staining under the taps and around the waste and several chips and rust patches, on Victorian roll-tops, pressed steel baths and basins & shower trays.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. We return to put right any problem with the work.

Fort Augustus: your questions answered
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the photos can’t show what we need.
Do you cover the entire of Highland?
We work UK-wide, so Fort Augustus is covered. Prices don’t change with location.
Are you accredited?
We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
How long is the bath unusable?
Generally one day, with the bath ready the day after. Deeply pitted baths may need a second day.
Can tenants book a repair?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged.
Is my repair covered?
Yes: twelve months. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Can you re-enamel a roll-top bath?
Yes, roll-tops are a big part of our work. The inside is resurfaced, and we can refinish the outside as well.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Typically, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we will say so.
Different materials, different repairs
Roll-top and period baths
Freestanding roll-tops can be done inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.
Pressed steel
Steel baths re-enamel well, as long as any rust is dealt with first. Rust around the waste is common on steel, so we check it carefully.
How the visit works
Arrival times are agreed in advance. Once we are there, the work takes most of the day for most jobs. The room is left tidy.
- The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
- We remove the old silicone and deep clean the bath.
- We repair chips, rust spots and pitting.
- We key the bath and apply a bonding primer.
- Several coats of finish are sprayed on, then it cures until the next day.
Before we arrive
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Clear the area around the damage
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
Getting a price
No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and we will come back with a fixed figure.
Advice
What affects the price in Fort Augustus
Resurfacing from £350. There’s no charge for travel to Fort Augustus. The price comes down to:
- Doing more than one item at once
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- What the surface is made of
- How easy the damage is to reach
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Send photos for a quote
We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what we need:
- The material, if you know it
- A wider photo showing the whole bath
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire bath, include your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

Should you replace it?
When the bathroom is fine apart from the bath’s finish, re-enamelling is the least disruptive fix. Nothing else is disturbed. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Can I fix it myself?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.
