Bath re-enamelling in Foster Street

Bath re-enamelling in Foster Street, done in place

A re-enamelled bath looks and feels like a new one, without any of the disruption of replacing it. It suits anyone happy with the bathroom apart from the bath. We regularly repair cast iron baths, Victorian roll-tops and basins & shower trays, and common reasons people contact us are chips and rust in more than one place and a bath that stays dull however much you clean it.

Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before you book.

When a repair isn’t the answer

Before booking, it’s worth knowing the limits too:

  • A poorly supported acrylic bath, until it’s firmed up
  • Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
  • Damage hidden under a previous coating, until it’s stripped back

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Materials we work on in Foster Street

Landlord and trade work in Foster Street

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Foster Street as well as homeowners. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it typically costs far less than a refit.

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. You will know the full cost before booking. We look at:

  • What the surface is made of
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • How much damage there is

Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Foster Street. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Send pictures for a quote

Two or three clear pictures are typically enough. It helps if you send:

  • A wider photo showing the whole bath
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

Email us a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, and tell us you’re in Foster Street, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

Aftercare tips

To keep it looking its best:

  • Avoid suction-cup mats
  • Don’t leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
  • A quick wipe after use keeps limescale away
  • Wash away dyes and oils after use

Wipe the bath dry after use where you can, and rinse away any product left on the surface.

Don’t try to scrub a worn bath back to shine. It just wears the enamel further.

Do you need bath re-enamelling in Foster Street?

Older baths frequently have several problems at once: worn patches, chips, rust spots and stains. Resurfacing sorts them out together.

Send us a photo if you notice any of these:

  • A dull, rough surface that will not come clean
  • Stains that will not shift
  • Thin, worn enamel in places
  • A coloured bath you want in white

What your quote should include

  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
  • Whether a trained technician does the job
  • What happens if they find more damage

Foster Street questions

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.

What happens once I’ve sent pictures?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote.

Can you make a coloured bath white?

Yes. We can resurface a coloured bath in white, and we can do the rest of the suite as well.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send photos with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.

How long is the bath unusable?

Generally one day, with the bath ready the following day. A badly pitted bath can need a second day.

Is my repair covered?

All our work carries our one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Get your landlord’s agreement first.

Do you charge for travel?

Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.

How it works

Your technician turns up at the time we agreed with you, introduces themselves and checks the damage against your photos first. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. The work itself takes most of the day, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
  2. Old sealant is cut out and the bath is deep cleaned.
  3. We repair chips, rust spots and pitting.
  4. The surface is keyed and primed for the new finish.
  5. The new finish is sprayed on in several coats and left to cure until the following day.

Before we arrive

  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work

Getting a price

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole bath, we can price the job without visiting.

Can I fix it myself?

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

Repair or replace in Foster Street?

Replacement only makes sense in a few cases: if the bath is cracked through, if you want a different size or shape, or if you are refitting the whole room anyway. Otherwise, resurfacing generally wins. Prices start from £350. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
