Bath re-enamelling at your home in Framfield
Re-enamelling is a one-day job for most baths. Taps, tiles, panels and plumbing all stay in place. Common call-outs are for a bath that stays dull however much you clean it and an original cast iron bath that needs restoring, in cast iron baths, pressed steel baths and Victorian roll-tops.
Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do.

Framfield: your questions answered
Do the materials smell?
Some materials have a smell while they’re applied. It fades as everything cures.
What information do you need?
Photos of the damage, a picture of the entire bath and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.
Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?
Yes, we often do. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.
Do you come to Framfield?
We do. We send a technician to Framfield for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
Do I need to be at home?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Will you leave a mess?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.
Can you resurface a pink bath in white?
Yes. We can resurface a coloured bath in white, and we can do the rest of the suite as well.
What does bath re-enamelling cost?
Prices start from £350. We give a fixed quote from your photos. Send a close-up and a photo of the whole item and your postcode.
Keeping it looking good
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. These habits help:
- Dry the bath after use to stop limescale
- Use washing-up liquid and a soft cloth
- Repair dripping taps early
- Avoid suction-cup mats
Use mild, non-abrasive cleaners, don’t use suction bath mats, and keep bottles and razors off the surface.
Rust spots on a worn bath get worse with time. It’s simpler to resurface before they spread.
Why repair rather than replace?
If you like your bathroom but not your bath’s surface, re-enamelling is the least disruptive fix. Tiles, panels and taps stay put. Prices start from £350. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Why us?
- A year’s guarantee on all work
- One visit for most repairs
- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
- One price list for the whole UK

What your bath is made of matters
Pressed steel
Steel baths re-enamel well, once any rust has been treated. Rust around the waste is common on steel, so we pay close attention there.
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.
DIY kit or professional repair?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
When a repair is not the answer
We won’t take on work that will not last, so here’s what a repair can’t put right:
- A poorly supported acrylic bath, until it’s firmed up
- Damage hidden under a previous coating, until it’s stripped back
- Holes rusted through the metal
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.
