Bath re-enamelling in Hempton, done in place
When a bath is structurally fine but worn out on the surface, resurfacing is normally the best value. It avoids removal, plumbing and re-tiling. If you’re dealing with an old resurfacing that’s failing and a bath in a colour that no longer suits, we can help.
Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee.

Should you replace it?
A new bath means a plumber, removing a heavy bath, making good the walls and tiles and several days without a working bathroom. Re-enamelling gives the bath a new finish with the bath left where it is. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Compared with replacing, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

Repairs by material
Pressed steel
Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Once a chip exposes it, rust follows quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.
Acrylic
We resurface acrylic baths as well, using a system that bonds to acrylic. It must be solid and not flex underfoot.
Your questions about bath re-enamelling in Hempton
Is there a smell?
Some odour is normal while we spray, which is why we ventilate the bathroom. It fades as the coating cures.
Are you a vetted contractor?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
Does the bath have to be removed?
No. We resurface it in place, so nothing else is disturbed.
Can you make a coloured bath white?
Yes. Coloured baths can be resurfaced in white, and we can do the rest of the suite as well.
Do you come to Hempton?
Yes. We work across the UK and come to Hempton. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
What happens next?
You get a fixed quote and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we’ll ask for another photo.
How durable is a resurfaced bath?
It depends on preparation, use and care. Properly prepared and looked after, it lasts well, and our work is guaranteed for a year.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
For landlords and businesses
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Hempton as well as homeowners. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it generally costs far less than a refit.
Letting agents frequently send us photos straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
How we price bath re-enamelling
Resurfacing from £350. There is no charge for travel to Hempton. The price depends on:
- Whether we combine several jobs
- How much damage there is
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Quotes from your pictures
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- A photo taken from further back
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- The material, if you know it
Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price. There’s no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.
Do you need bath re-enamelling in Hempton?
Sometimes it’s an earlier resurfacing that has failed, lifting by the plughole or blistering. Failing coatings are stripped back before we resurface.
Clients usually contact us about:
- Chips and rust in more than one place
- Wear marks under the taps
- An old resurfacing that’s failing
- A coloured bath you want in white
Comparing quotes
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
- Whether a trained technician does the job
- What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
- Whether the colour is mixed to match
