About our bath re-enamelling in Kaimhill
Re-enamelling is a one-day job for most baths, with the bath ready to use the following day. Nothing is disconnected or removed. Typical jobs include brown or grey marks that don’t clean off and worn patches where water runs and sits, across basins & shower trays, cast iron baths and pressed steel baths.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months in Kaimhill and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Landlord and trade work in Kaimhill
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
Different materials, different repairs
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are the classic candidate for re-enamelling. The body lasts for generations; only the enamel wears, so resurfacing gives them a new life.
When a repair isn’t the answer
Not everything can be repaired, and we will tell you before we start. Repairs will not solve:
- Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
- A bath split right through the body
- A poorly supported acrylic bath, until it’s firmed up
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.
What we work on
- Basins & shower trays
- Cast iron baths
- Acrylic baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Pressed steel baths
How we price bath re-enamelling
Resurfacing from £350. You won’t pay by the hour. The price depends on:
- How much damage there is
- The material
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Whether we combine several jobs
Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.
Getting a price from pictures
When you take your pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Any details about the material
- A wider photo showing the entire bath
The quickest way to a price is to send two or three pictures using our quote form or call us. We will say right away if a repair is the right fix.
Your questions about bath re-enamelling in Kaimhill
Do you hold any accreditations?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Include pictures of each item.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are frequently glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.
How long does re-enamelling take?
Typically one day, with the bath ready the following day. A badly pitted bath can need a second day.
What happens after I send pictures?
We look at the pictures and reply with a fixed price and some dates. If we need another angle, we will ask.
What do you need from me?
Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we will do the rest.
Which areas do you work in?
We work UK-wide, so Kaimhill is covered. Our prices are the same everywhere.
What happens if you find more damage?
We’ll show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.
Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing the bath means a plumber, removing a heavy bath, making good the walls and tiles and several days without a working bathroom. Re-enamelling renews the whole surface without moving it. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.

What we do, step by step
There’s not much you need to do on the day. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we’ll get on with it. The job generally runs to most of the day, including clearing up.
- We check the bath and agree the finish with you.
- Taps, tiles and the floor are masked off.
- We degrease the bath, fix any damage and key the surface.
- Primer and finish coats are applied.
- The masking comes off, we tidy up and tell you when it can be used.
Before we arrive
- Ensure the room can be ventilated
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Let us know which floor the room is on

How to care for the repair
So the finish stays in good condition:
- Get any chip repaired quickly
- Leave the bath for the full curing time before using it
- Do not leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
- A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
Avoid hair dye, bath bombs and oils sitting on the surface, because they can mark the finish. Fix dripping taps quickly.
On a worn bath, rust spots keep spreading and make the job bigger. It’s simpler to resurface before they spread.
