Bath re-enamelling near Little Stukeley

What bath re-enamelling costs

Prices start from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Little Stukeley. The price comes down to:

  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • What kind of damage it is
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Unusual colours or finishes

We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Little Stukeley. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Send pictures for a quote

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Details of any past repairs
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire bath, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

Bath re-enamelling in Little Stukeley without replacing anything

If your bath is sound but looks tired, re-enamelling is generally the most cost-effective option. There’s no removal, plumbing or tiling involved. Our repair technicians work on acrylic baths, pressed steel baths and basins & shower trays, and people most frequently call us about stains that won’t shift and thin, worn enamel in places.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you’re not left on your own once we’ve gone.

Materials and what they mean for the repair

Cast iron

A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.

Roll-top and period baths

Freestanding roll-tops can be done inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.

Landlord and trade work in Little Stukeley

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.

We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we’ll handle the rest.

The process

On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll get on with it. The job generally runs to the best part of a day, tidy-up included.

  1. We sheet, mask and ventilate the room.
  2. Old sealant is cut out and the bath is deep cleaned.
  3. Chips, rust and pitting are repaired.
  4. The surface is keyed and primed for the new finish.
  5. The new finish is sprayed on in several coats and left to cure until the following day.

How to prepare

  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access

How to get a price

Advice

What we cannot put right

A repair isn’t right for every job, including:

  • Damage hidden under a previous coating, until it’s stripped back
  • A metal bath with a through crack
  • Holes rusted through the metal

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.

Materials we repair

  • Victorian roll-tops
  • Acrylic baths
  • Cast iron baths
  • Basins & shower trays
  • Pressed steel baths

Questions from Little Stukeley

What happens after I send pictures?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote and the next dates we have.

Is there a call-out fee?

No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Yes, almost always. Clear photos let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send pictures with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.

Can you change the colour of my bath?

Yes. Coloured baths can be resurfaced in white, and the basin and toilet can be done too.

How long will the bath be out of use?

Usually a day, then it’s ready to use the following day. Deeply pitted baths may need a second day.

Are you accredited?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Is there a guarantee?

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

Repairing versus replacing in Little Stukeley

If you like your bathroom but not your bath’s surface, resurfacing is the simplest answer. Nothing else is disturbed. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book, with no extras added later.

Why us?

  • One-year guarantee on every repair
  • Normally one visit, start to finish
  • Same prices wherever you are
  • Nothing taken out or refitted

Keeping it looking good

How the surface is treated afterwards matters:

  • Dry the bath after use to stop limescale
  • Don’t use the bath until it has fully cured
  • Avoid suction-cup mats
  • Get any chip repaired quickly

Treat the new finish gently at first: give it the full curing time, then clean it gently. After that, no abrasives and no suction mats.

The longer worn enamel is left, the rougher it gets, and any rust spreads underneath. Acting earlier keeps the preparation simpler.
