Bath re-enamelling in Llanspyddid, done in place
Cast iron and steel baths are ideal for re-enamelling, and acrylic baths can be resurfaced too. The result is a smooth, even, glossy finish. We regularly repair acrylic baths, pressed steel baths and Victorian roll-tops, and the jobs we see most are a bath that stays dull however much you clean it and a coating lifting around the plughole.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months in Llanspyddid and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

What your bath is made of matters
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that is the part we put right.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths can be resurfaced too, using a system that bonds to acrylic. The bath needs to be firm and well supported for the finish to last.

Repair or replace in Llanspyddid?
Replacing a cast iron bath is a big job: they’re heavy, frequently need breaking up, and a new one isn’t cheap. Resurfacing in place avoids that entirely. Prices start from £350. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing normally costs far less, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

Aftercare tips
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Use washing-up liquid and a soft cloth
- Don’t leave a chip unrepaired
- Rinse off hair dye, oils and bath bombs right away
- Don’t leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
Wipe the bath dry after use where you can, especially in hard water areas, and rinse off any bath products.
Avoid scrubbing a dull bath with abrasive cleaners. It just wears the enamel further and makes resurfacing more work.

- We mask and protect the room and ventilate it.
- We clean and degrease the bath and repair any chips or rust.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- Several coats of new finish are sprayed on.
- Once cured, normally by the next day, the bath is ready.

Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. You will not pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- How many items we do on one visit
- The colour and finish to match
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- The size and number of damaged areas
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
Send pictures for a quote
When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- Details of any past repairs
Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them to us with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed price back. Quotes are free and no obligation.
Landlords, agents and businesses in Llanspyddid
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Llanspyddid as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.
