About our bath re-enamelling in Low Street
When a bath is structurally fine but worn out on the surface, resurfacing is normally the best value. There’s no removal, plumbing or tiling involved. We’re frequently asked to fix a coating lifting around the plughole and chips and rust in more than one place, on Victorian roll-tops, pressed steel baths and basins & shower trays.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something is not right in that time, we come back and put it right.

Work for landlords and builders
If you manage property in Low Street, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send pictures for each address and we will price them together.
Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.
What we cannot put right
A repair is not always the answer, and we’ll tell you before we start. We cannot fix:
- Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
- Steel that has corroded right through
- Acrylic that moves when you stand in it
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before booking.
What we work on
- Basins & shower trays
- Acrylic baths
- Cast iron baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Pressed steel baths
Should I try a DIY kit first?
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
How it works
From the moment we arrive, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes most of the day, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.
- The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
- We remove the old silicone and deep clean the bath.
- Chips, rust and pitting are repaired.
- The surface is keyed and primed for the new finish.
- The new finish is sprayed on in several coats and left to cure until the following day.
Before we arrive
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Point us to the nearest place to park
- Make sure the area is dry

Related advice
What bath re-enamelling costs
Resurfacing from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Low Street. What changes the price is:
- The type of damage
- The material
- How much damage there is
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.
Send pictures for a quote
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- One picture of the whole bath
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- The material, if you know it
- Details of any past repairs
Send us a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, with your IP20 postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.
Should you replace it?
Replacing a bath generally involves a plumber, a fitter and a tiler. Re-enamelling takes one technician and generally one day, and the bath can be used the day after. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you will get a fixed figure.
What you get with us

- Dust sheets down, tidy finish

Low Street: your questions answered
Can you do the outside of a roll-top?
Yes, often. We resurface the inside, and the outside can be refinished too.
Which areas do you work in?
We work UK-wide, and that includes Low Street. Our prices are the same everywhere.
Can you change the colour of my bath?
Yes. We can resurface a coloured bath in white, and the basin and toilet can be done too.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Usually, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.
Can you quote from photos?
Yes, almost always. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.
How do I book?
Some photos, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, we only need access to the room.
Will it make a mess?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.

Repairs by material
Pressed steel
Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.
Roll-top and period baths
Freestanding roll-tops can be done inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.
