How the visit works

It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, cover and mask the work area, and get on with the job, which generally takes a full day. If anything looks different from your pictures, we will talk to you before going ahead.

  1. We check the bath and agree the finish with you.
  2. Taps, tiles and the floor are masked off.
  3. The bath is degreased, repaired and keyed.
  4. We apply the primer and then the finish coats.
  5. The masking comes off, we tidy up and tell you when it can be used.

Before we arrive

  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Open a window if you can
  • Let us know which floor the room is on

How to get a price

Advice

Work for landlords and builders

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We will fit around changeovers where we can.

What a repair cannot fix

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • Holes rusted through the metal
  • A cast iron or steel bath that’s cracked right through
  • An acrylic bath that flexes badly underfoot

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Acrylic baths
  • Pressed steel baths
  • Victorian roll-tops
  • Cast iron baths
  • Basins & shower trays

How we price bath re-enamelling

Prices start from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Netherstoke. The price depends on:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • How much damage there is
  • Access to the area

What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.

Getting a price from photos

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:

  • One picture of the whole bath
  • Any details about the material
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

For a price in Netherstoke, the easiest route is pictures: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.

Netherstoke: your questions answered

How do I book?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.

Do the materials smell?

It depends on the job, but often a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum, and it soon fades.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses in Netherstoke.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit typically costs less than separate visits. Send photos of everything you’d like done.

What if the damage is worse than the photos show?

Your quote covers the damage in the photos. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

Do you come to Netherstoke?

Yes. We cover the entire UK and travel to Netherstoke. Send photos and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

How much does bath re-enamelling cost in Netherstoke?

Resurfacing from £350. We give a fixed price based on photos of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your BA22 postcode.

Can you make a coloured bath white?

Yes. We can resurface a coloured bath in white, and the basin and toilet can be done too.

Repair or replace in Netherstoke?

Replacing the bath means a plumber, removing a heavy bath, re-tiling or making good the walls and days without a bathroom. Resurfacing renews the whole surface without moving it. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing usually costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Why Netherstoke clients choose us

Materials and what they mean for the repair

Pressed steel

Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.

Acrylic

We resurface acrylic baths as well, using a system that bonds to acrylic. It must be solid and not flex underfoot for the finish to last.

Keeping it looking good

A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:

  • Don’t leave a chip unrepaired
  • Leave the bath for the full curing time before using it
  • Never use suction bath mats
  • Dry the bath after use to stop limescale

Rinse the bath and wipe it over after use, especially in hard water areas, so limescale can’t build up.

Leave a peeling coating alone. Moisture gets underneath and makes it worse, so have it stripped and resurfaced.

Do you need bath re-enamelling in Netherstoke?

Enamel wears gradually. Abrasive cleaners, limescale and years of use wear the gloss away, starting where water runs and sits.

The most common problems we’re called about are:

  • Several chips and rust patches
  • A dull, rough surface that will not come clean
  • An original cast iron bath that needs restoring
  • Worn patches where water runs and sits
