Bath re-enamelling in Peasemore without replacing anything

Re-enamelling gives a worn bath a new glossy surface without taking anything out. It suits baths that are dull, stained, rough or chipped all over. Typical jobs include a roll-top that’s seen better days and enamel that’s lost its shine and feels rough, across basins & shower trays, Victorian roll-tops and pressed steel baths.

Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before you book.

Aftercare tips

Most damage we see is avoidable. These habits help:

  • A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
  • Get any chip repaired quickly
  • Rinse off hair dye, oils and bath bombs straight away
  • Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas

A quick rinse and wipe after use helps, particularly where water is hard, so limescale cannot build up.

The longer worn enamel is left, the rougher it gets, and rust spots spread under the surface. Acting earlier keeps the preparation simpler.

How it works

We work cleanly and quietly, so you can carry on at home. Protection goes down first, then the job itself takes the best part of a day. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. We check the bath and agree the finish with you.
  2. Everything around the bath is masked and covered.
  3. We degrease the bath, fix any damage and key the surface.
  4. We apply the primer and then the finish coats.
  5. The masking comes off, we tidy up and tell you when it can be used.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Make sure the area is dry
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before

Questions from Peasemore

Can you quote from pictures?

Generally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and you will get one combined price.

Do you come to Peasemore?

Yes. We work across the UK and come to Peasemore. Send photos and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Will the price change on the day?

The price is fixed for what the pictures show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

Does someone need to be in?

We need someone to let us in. You don’t need to watch us work.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders.

What happens next?

We review the pictures and send a fixed quote and the next dates we have.

Should you replace it?

Replacement only makes sense in a few cases: if the bath is cracked through, if you want a different size or shape, or if you’re refitting the entire room anyway. Otherwise, resurfacing normally wins. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking.

Why book with us

  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • Same prices wherever you are
  • Straight answers about what a repair can do
  • Work done at your home or business

Read our prices page and guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

Can I fix it myself?

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

Honest limits

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:

  • A cast iron or steel bath that’s cracked right through
  • Problems we can’t see until an old finish comes off
  • A bath that is rusted through

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before booking.

What we work on

  • Acrylic baths
  • Cast iron baths
  • Basins & shower trays
  • Victorian roll-tops
  • Pressed steel baths

Repairs by material

Roll-top and period baths

We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.

Pressed steel

Steel baths re-enamel well, once any rust has been treated. Rust around the waste is common on steel, so we pay close attention there.

Signs you need bath re-enamelling in Peasemore

Enamel does not fail overnight. Years of cleaning, hard water and hot baths wear the gloss away, generally first under the taps and around the waste.

You may need us if you’ve spotted any of these:

  • An old resurfacing that is failing
  • An outdated colour you’d like to change
  • A roll-top that is seen better days
  • Several chips and rust patches

What to look for in a quote

  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • How long it needs to cure
  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
  • How your room will be protected

How to compare quotes

What affects the price in Peasemore

Prices start from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Peasemore. The price depends on:

  • The type of damage
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • What the surface is made of
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Peasemore. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Send pictures for a quote

You can take the pictures on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Just make sure we can see:

  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them over with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote. There’s no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.
