Bath re-enamelling in Penygelli

Bath re-enamelling at your home in Penygelli

Cast iron and steel baths are ideal for re-enamelling, and we can resurface acrylic baths as well. You end up with a smooth, glossy surface. Common call-outs are for a bath in a colour that no longer suits and an old resurfacing that’s failing, in pressed steel baths, basins & shower trays and cast iron baths.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there is a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

Why repair rather than replace?

Getting a cast iron bath out is hard work: it’s very heavy, may need breaking up, and the replacement can be costly. Re-enamelling avoids all of it. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Penygelli. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

What you get with us

  • Free fixed quotes from pictures
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • One price list for the whole UK

How it works

Once we are through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. We mask off everything nearby, the work takes most of the day, depending on what we find, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.

  1. We check the bath and agree the finish with you.
  2. Everything around the bath is masked and covered.
  3. We degrease the bath, fix any damage and key the surface.
  4. Primer and finish coats are applied.
  5. We remove the masking, tidy up and give you the curing time.

How to prepare

  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit

Related advice

When we would advise against a repair

We’d rather lose a job than do one that will not last, so here’s what a repair cannot put right:

  • Leaking taps or wastes (a plumber’s job)
  • A metal bath with a through crack
  • Anything hidden under an old coating, until we remove it

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.

Surfaces we repair

  • Basins & shower trays
  • Cast iron baths
  • Victorian roll-tops
  • Pressed steel baths
  • Acrylic baths

Aftercare tips

Looking after the surface is easy, and it makes a real difference:

  • Do not leave a chip unrepaired
  • Wash away dyes and oils after use
  • A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
  • Keep suction mats out of the bath

Use mild, non-abrasive cleaners, avoid suction bath mats, and don’t leave bottles or razors standing on the surface.

On a worn bath, rust spots keep spreading, and each one adds to the preparation. It’s simpler to resurface before they spread.

What your bath is made of matters

Cast iron

Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.

Acrylic

Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.

What affects the price in Penygelli

Resurfacing from £350. There is no charge for travel to Penygelli. The price depends on:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • The material

There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Getting a price from photos

Before you send pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • Any details about the material
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • A photo taken from further back

We price from pictures so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.

Questions from Penygelli

What areas do you cover?

Everywhere in the UK, Penygelli included. There’s no extra charge for travel.

Will the bath be moved?

No. It’s re-enamelled where it stands, so nothing else is disturbed.

Do you come to Penygelli?

Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Penygelli. Send photos and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

How long does re-enamelling last?

It depends on preparation, use and care. With good preparation and gentle cleaning it lasts a long time, and our work is guaranteed for a year.

Can pets and children be at home?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, so the repair is not disturbed while it cures.

Can you do the outside of a roll-top?

Yes. We can do the inside and outside.

Do the materials smell?

Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, so we ventilate the room. It fades as everything cures.

What happens next?

We look at the photos and reply with a fixed price and some dates. If we need another angle, we’ll ask.

Landlord and trade work in Penygelli

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.

If you manage property in Penygelli, we will quote for several properties at once. Send photos for each one and we’ll price them together.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
