Trusted bath re-enamelling in Powys

Powys: your questions answered

Do you do work for letting agents?

We do, regularly. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

How do I book?

Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we’ll take it from there.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and we’ll quote them together.

Does the bath have to be removed?

No, it stays where it is. Everything is done in your bathroom, with the room masked and ventilated.

Do you charge for travel?

Travel is included in the price, with the same prices everywhere we work.

Can you resurface a pink bath in white?

Yes. Coloured baths can be resurfaced in white, and we can do the rest of the suite as well.

Will it make a mess?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.

What areas do you cover?

Across the UK. Our prices are the same everywhere.

Bath re-enamelling in Powys without replacing anything

Most baths are re-enamelled in a day, with the bath ready to use the following day. Nothing is disconnected or removed. Whether it’s a roll-top that’s seen better days and a bath that stays dull however much you clean it, we can help, on Victorian roll-tops, acrylic baths and cast iron baths alike.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right.

When to call us in Powys

Many baths we resurface have simply been well used, with nothing wrong except the surface. Underneath, a cast iron or steel bath is usually as strong as ever.

Keep an eye out for these signs:

  • Worn patches where water runs and sits
  • An old resurfacing that’s failing
  • A period or roll-top bath worth keeping
  • A dull, rough surface that won’t come clean

Questions to ask before booking

  • How the colour is matched
  • Who turns up on the day
  • Whether the price covers travel
  • What prep work is covered

What we cannot put right

To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • Steel that has corroded right through
  • An acrylic bath that flexes badly underfoot
  • A cast iron or steel bath that’s cracked right through

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

What we work on

  • Victorian roll-tops
  • Basins & shower trays
  • Acrylic baths
  • Pressed steel baths
  • Cast iron baths

What bath re-enamelling costs

Prices start from £350. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • The type of damage
  • Doing more than one item at once

A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Send photos for a quote

The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:

  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Details of any past repairs
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Where you are, by postcode

Email us photos of the damage and one of the whole item, with your SA10 postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

Repairs by material

Acrylic

Acrylic baths can be resurfaced too, with a coating system suited to acrylic. The bath needs to be firm and well supported.

Pressed steel

Pressed steel baths take a new finish well, as long as any rust is dealt with first. Rust around the waste is common on steel, so we pay close attention there.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing the bath means a plumber, lifting out the old bath, making good the walls and tiles and days without a bathroom. Resurfacing renews the whole surface without moving it. Prices start from £350. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Why book with us

  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • Fixed prices from your photos
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish

How the visit works

A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and clear up. Plan for the best part of a day from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. We check the bath and agree the finish with you.
  2. Everything around the bath is masked and covered.
  3. We degrease the bath, fix any damage and key the surface.
  4. Primer and finish coats are applied.
  5. We remove the masking, tidy up and give you the curing time.

Preparing for the visit

  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access

Ask for a price

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

How to look after the repair

It’s all simple stuff:

  • Keep suction mats out of the bath
  • Do not leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
  • Repair dripping taps early
  • Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent

Use mild, non-abrasive cleaners, avoid suction bath mats, and keep bottles and razors off the surface.

If a previous coating is starting to peel, do not pick at it. Moisture gets underneath and makes it worse, so it’s better to have it stripped and redone.
