For landlords and businesses
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in West Berkshire and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Sheepdrove as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it costs much less than replacing.
Bath re-enamelling at your home in Sheepdrove
We re-enamel plenty of period and roll-top baths, which would be difficult and expensive to replace. Doing them in place keeps an original feature. Whether it’s a dull, rough surface that won’t come clean and a bath in a colour that no longer suits, we can help, on acrylic baths, basins & shower trays and Victorian roll-tops alike.
You’re covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before booking.

- Problems we can’t see until an old finish comes off
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

How it works
There’s not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll take it from there. The job generally runs to most of the day.
- First we look the bath over and confirm the finish.
- Everything around the bath is masked and covered.
- We degrease the bath, fix any damage and key the surface.
- We apply the primer and then the finish coats.
- We remove the masking, tidy up and give you the curing time.
Preparing for the visit
- Make sure the room can be ventilated
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Let us know which floor the room is on

Your questions about bath re-enamelling in Sheepdrove
Does someone need to be in?
Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.
Are you accredited?
We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
Will there be fumes?
A little, during the work. We set up ventilation and the smell fades as it cures.
Are there extra charges for Sheepdrove?
Travel is included in the price, with the same prices everywhere we work.
Will the new finish last?
A well-prepared finish lasts a long time if it’s looked after. Avoid abrasive cleaners and suction mats.
Can pets and children be at home?
Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, so the repair is not disturbed while it cures.
Is the work guaranteed?
Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.
Will you leave a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- The colour and finish to match
- The material and finish
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.
How to get a fixed quote
A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:
- Any details about the material
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A wider photo showing the entire bath
You do not need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.
Repair or replace: which is better?
If you like your bathroom but not your bath’s surface, re-enamelling is the least disruptive fix. Tiles, panels and taps stay put. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.
Why us?

Looking after it afterwards
How the surface is treated afterwards matters:
- Respect the curing time we give you
- Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
- Never use suction bath mats
- Get any chip repaired quickly
Stick to mild, non-abrasive cleaners, do not use suction bath mats, and keep bottles and razors off the surface.
Leave a peeling coating alone. Moisture gets underneath and makes it worse, so it’s better to have it stripped and redone.

DIY kit or professional repair?
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
