About our bath re-enamelling in The Triangle

Re-enamelling is a one-day job for most baths, and you can use the bath the day after. Nothing is disconnected or removed. We work on basins & shower trays, acrylic baths and cast iron baths, and common reasons people contact us are a peeling or bubbling previous coating and a period or roll-top bath worth keeping.

Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee.

Can I fix it myself?

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

FAQs for The Triangle

Will the price change on the day?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.

When can you do it?

That depends on our diary for your area. Send photos with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.

What happens next?

We look at the photos and reply with a fixed price and some dates. If we need another angle, we’ll ask.

Can you do the outside of a roll-top?

Yes, frequently. We resurface the inside, and the outside can be refinished too.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

Will you leave a mess?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.

Are you accredited?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Are there extra charges for The Triangle?

We do not add a call-out fee. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

How it works

Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, cover and mask the work area, then carry out the work, which usually takes most of the day. If we find something your pictures didn’t show, we’ll explain it before carrying on.

  1. First we look the bath over and confirm the finish.
  2. Taps, tiles and the floor are masked off.
  3. We degrease the bath, fix any damage and key the surface.
  4. Primer and finish coats are applied.
  5. The masking comes off, we tidy up and tell you when it can be used.

Before we arrive

  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit

Related advice

Looking after it afterwards

So the finish stays in good condition:

  • Fix dripping taps quickly
  • Don’t leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
  • Dry the bath after use to stop limescale
  • Stick to gentle, non-abrasive cleaners

Use mild, non-abrasive cleaners, avoid suction bath mats, and keep bottles and razors off the surface.

On a worn bath, rust spots keep spreading, and each one adds to the preparation. Resurfacing before they spread keeps it simpler.

Materials and what they mean for the repair

Cast iron

Re-enamelling suits cast iron baths perfectly. They’re built to last, and only the surface wears, so a new finish makes them look new again.

Acrylic

Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it relies on good support. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.

What we’re called out for in The Triangle

Older baths often have several problems at once: worn patches, chips, rust spots and stains. Resurfacing sorts them out together.

Typical reasons for a call-out include:

  • A peeling or bubbling previous coating
  • Worn patches where water runs and sits
  • Staining under the taps and around the waste
  • A roll-top that’s seen better days

What your quote should include

  • What prep work is covered
  • How the room is protected while they work
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • How to care for the finish

For landlords and businesses

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Monmouthshire and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Repair or replace in The Triangle?

A refit takes several trades and several days. Resurfacing is one technician, normally in a day, and the bath can be used the day after. Prices start from £350. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book, with no extras added later.

What you get with us

  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • Same prices wherever you are
  • One visit for most repairs

How we price bath re-enamelling

Prices start from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including The Triangle. What changes the price is:

  • The material and finish
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • The colour and finish to match
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.

When you take your photos, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • Details of any past repairs
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Any details about the material
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus

We price from pictures so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through.
