Bath re-enamelling at your home in Tiln
Re-enamelling is a one-day job for most baths, with the bath ready to use the following day. Taps, tiles, panels and plumbing all stay in place. We regularly repair acrylic baths, basins & shower trays and pressed steel baths, and common reasons people get in touch are staining under the taps and around the waste and a bath in a colour that no longer suits.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

Repairs by material
Roll-top and period baths
Freestanding roll-tops can be done inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.
Pressed steel
Steel baths re-enamel well, as long as any rust is dealt with first. Rust around the waste is common on steel, so we pay close attention there.
Tiln: your questions answered
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Typically, yes. We remove the old repair before doing a new one.
Do you cover Tiln?
Yes, we do. Technicians travel to Tiln from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote.
Are there extra charges for Tiln?
No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.
Can you resurface a pink bath in white?
Yes, most people go for white. Mention the colour you want when you send photos.
Is the work guaranteed?
Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.
What information do you need?
Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Generally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
How the visit works
We turn up when we said we would, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before any work starts. Most visits take most of the day, and we leave the room as we found it.
- We mask and protect the room and ventilate it.
- We clean and degrease the bath and repair any chips or rust.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- Several coats of new finish are sprayed on.
- We leave it to cure, and it’s usually ready the following day.
How to prepare
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Ensure the room can be ventilated
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

Related advice
Why repair rather than replace?
If the bath is sound, re-enamelling is usually much cheaper than replacing it, once you add removal, plumbing, tiling and decorating to the price of a new bath. It’s much quicker too. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Why book with us
- Most jobs done in one visit
- We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing

Work for landlords and builders
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access.
Letting agents often send us pictures straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

Looking after it afterwards
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. A few tips:
- A quick wipe after use keeps limescale away
- Have chips seen to early
- Keep toiletries on a shelf rather than in the bath
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent
Stick to mild, non-abrasive cleaners, avoid suction bath mats, and keep bottles and razors off the surface.
Avoid scrubbing a dull bath with abrasive cleaners. It removes more of the surface and makes resurfacing more work.
Honest limits
A repair isn’t always the answer, and we’d rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:
- Holes rusted through the metal
- Damage hidden under a previous coating, until it’s stripped back
- A metal bath with a through crack
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.
