Bath re-enamelling for Westleigh, without a refit. Send us photos for a fixed quote, then we come to you.

Different materials, different repairs
Acrylic
Acrylic baths can be resurfaced too, with a coating system suited to acrylic. It must be solid and not flex underfoot.
Cast iron
Re-enamelling suits cast iron baths perfectly. The body lasts for generations; only the enamel wears, so resurfacing gives them a new life.
Bath re-enamelling at your home in Westleigh
We re-enamel a lot of period and roll-top baths, which would be difficult and expensive to replace. Doing them in place keeps an original feature. Our technicians work on Victorian roll-tops, pressed steel baths and basins & shower trays, and people most often call us about staining under the taps and around the waste and an original cast iron bath that needs restoring.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee.

When we’d advise against a repair
A repair is not right for every job, including:
- A metal bath with a through crack
- An acrylic bath that flexes badly underfoot
- Anything hidden under an old coating, until we remove it
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.
Materials we repair
- Pressed steel baths

How we price bath re-enamelling
Resurfacing from £350. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price is based on:
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- Access to the area
- What kind of damage it is
- Doing more than one item at once
We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
How to get a fixed price
Before you send photos, these tips help us give you a firm price:
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
We price from pictures so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
Looking after it afterwards
How the surface is treated afterwards matters:
- Get any chip repaired quickly
- Repair dripping taps early
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent
- Avoid suction-cup mats
Avoid hair dye, bath bombs and oils sitting on the surface, because they can mark the finish. Repair dripping taps promptly.
Leave a peeling coating alone. Moisture gets underneath and makes it worse, so it’s better to have it stripped and redone.
Repair or replace: which is better?
Getting a cast iron bath out is hard work: they’re heavy, frequently need breaking up, and a new one is not cheap. Re-enamelling avoids all of it. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Westleigh questions
Can you resurface a pink bath in white?
Yes. Coloured baths can be resurfaced in white, and the basin and toilet can be done too.
Do I have to be there?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Are you accredited?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
Someone resurfaced my bath and it’s peeling. Can you help?
Yes. Stripping the old coating adds time, so it’s reflected in the quote.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include photos of each item.
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
We review the photos and send a fixed quote with dates.
How quickly can you book me in?
We’ll give you dates with your quote. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.
