Bath repair at your home in Albury
A typical bath repair is a few hours’ work, and the bath is back in use the following day. There’s no need to book a plumber or tiler, because the bath doesn’t move. Whether it’s rust by the waste and overflow and holes from dropped items, we can help, on whirlpool & spa baths, roll-top & freestanding and pressed steel enamel alike.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

DIY kit or professional repair?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £95. We do not charge extra for travel to Albury. The price depends on:
- How hard the colour is to match
- How easy the damage is to reach
- Doing more than one item at once
- What the surface is made of
We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Getting a price from photos
Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote. Quotes are free and you’re under no obligation.
Albury questions
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to use again.
Are you a vetted contractor?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
Can you repair something that is been repaired before?
Most of the time. Let us know what was used before and we’ll plan for it.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.
What do you need from me?
Just pictures, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, access to the room.
What happens if you find more damage?
If we find something the photos didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.
What about rust by the waste?
Yes. We remove the rust and loose enamel, fill the area, then colour-match the finish.
Aftercare tips
Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:
- Don’t leave a fresh chip for long
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
- Ensure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
There is nothing special to do after a repair. Skip bleach and gritty creams.
A chip on a metal bath shouldn’t be left. Water gets to the metal and rust starts, and a rust spot is a bigger repair than a clean chip.
How the visit works
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and clear up. Allow a few hours, depending on the damage from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.
- Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
- We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
- Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
- We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, typically the following day.
Preparing for the visit
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Let the surface dry out before the visit

What a repair cannot fix
In fairness, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
- A whole bath that’s dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.

Repair or replace in Albury?
For damage in one or two places, a repair is the obvious choice. It costs far less than a new bath plus fitting, it takes one visit, and nothing else in the room changes. Prices start from £95. Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Albury. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Why us?
- Honest advice, even when it means no job
- Rooms protected and left tidy
- CHAS and Constructionline accredited
- Fixed prices from your pictures

Work for landlords and builders
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover. Several plots can be done in one visit.

What we’re called out for in Albury
The usual cause is something heavy dropped into the bath, and building work is a common culprit. Acrylic baths crack for a different reason: the bath isn’t properly supported, so it flexes under weight.
If you can see any of these, send us a photo:
- Impact holes in acrylic
- A chip where the taps sit
- Cracks in an acrylic bath
- Chips along the edge of the bath
What to look for in a quote
- How long the guarantee is and what it covers
- Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
- What preparation is included
