Bath Repair for Bainbridge homes
Damaged bath in Bainbridge? We repair it in place, mix the colour on the day and guarantee the work for a year.
- Repairs from £95
- A cracked acrylic bath
- A chip where the taps sit

Repairs by material
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour matched, in much the same way.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. There is no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and a crack only stays repaired if it’s supported underneath.
Bath repair at your home in Bainbridge
Most of our bath repairs take a few hours, and the bath is back in use the following day. There is no need to book a plumber or tiler, because nothing is disconnected. If you’re dealing with rusty patches near the plughole and an old repair that has yellowed or come loose, we can help, on cast iron enamel, roll-top & freestanding and pressed steel enamel alike.
All our work is covered by our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in North Yorkshire.

What happens on the day
On the day itself, there is little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will get on with it. The job generally runs to two to three hours for most chips, including clearing up.
- First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
- Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
- We mix the colour on the day to match your bath’s exact shade.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- Once it has cured, generally by the next day, the bath is ready to use.
Before we arrive
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings

Advice
Your questions about bath repair in Bainbridge
Can rust on a bath be repaired?
Yes, it’s one of the most common repairs we do. The rust is cut back to clean metal and sealed before we fill and finish it.
Will the price change on the day?
We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.
Can a cracked acrylic bath be fixed?
Generally, yes, if we can reach the underside to reinforce it. Take off the bath panel and check, or send us a photo.
Do I have to be there?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.
How soon can you come?
That depends on our diary for your area. Send pictures with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.
Do you repair coloured baths?
Yes, coloured baths are no problem. The colour is tinted by hand on the day.
Which areas do you work in?
We cover the whole UK, including Bainbridge and the rest of North Yorkshire. Send your postcode with your photos and we’ll offer you dates.
Do the materials smell?
A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help.
Honest limits
A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
- A whole bath that’s dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before booking.

Work for landlords and builders
For anyone letting property in or around Bainbridge, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send photos for each one and we’ll price them together.
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.
Repairing versus replacing in Bainbridge
If the rest of the bath is in good condition, a repair is almost always the better choice. It costs less, takes less time and causes far less upheaval, and the bathroom stays as it is. If the whole surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we’ll tell you. Prices start from £95. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

How to look after the repair
How the surface is treated afterwards matters. Here’s what we suggest:
- Put a towel in the bath if you’re working above it
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
- Get any new chip repaired before it rusts
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before running a bath. After that, gentle cleaning keeps it looking good.
Don’t leave a chip on a steel or cast iron bath. Once water reaches the metal, rust begins, turning a quick repair into a bigger one.
Do you need bath repair in Bainbridge?
The usual cause is something heavy dropped into the bath, and a lot happen during bathroom refits. Acrylic baths crack for a different reason: poor support underneath, so the bath flexes when it’s full.
Clients generally contact us about:
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- A kit repair that didn’t last
- A chip where the taps sit
