Bath repair in Bantham Cross, done in place
Bath repair is our most common job. A chip by the taps, a crack in the base and a rust spot by the plughole are all repaired in place, normally in a single visit. Whether it’s scuffs and scratches in the surface and holes from dropped items, we can normally put it right, on pressed steel enamel, whirlpool & spa baths and cast iron enamel alike.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there is a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

Do you need bath repair in Bantham Cross?
Heavy toiletries are the biggest single cause of chips, with dropped shower heads close behind. Taps and wastes cause problems too: water collects there, so chips nearby rust quickly.
These are the problems we are asked about most:
- Impact holes in acrylic
- Chips on the rim or sides
- Rust by the waste and overflow
- Cracks in an acrylic bath
Questions to ask before booking
- Whether the price covers travel
- How the colour is matched
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
- Whether a trained technician does the job
Prices and what affects them
Repairs from £95. You’ll know the full cost before booking. We look at:
- How many areas need work
- Unusual colours or finishes
- The type of damage
- What the surface is made of
Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Bantham Cross. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Getting a price from photos
Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- Where you are, by postcode
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Something in shot to show the size
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed quote the same day in most cases.
Repair or replace: which is better?
For damage in one or two places, a repair is the obvious choice. It costs far less than a new bath plus fitting, it’s done in one visit, and the bathroom stays exactly as it is. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
Why book with us

When a repair is not the answer
Not everything can be repaired, and we will tell you before we start. Repairs will not solve:
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
- A steel bath rusted through
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before booking.
Materials we repair
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Acrylic
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Pressed steel enamel
- Cast iron enamel
How it works
Arrival times are agreed in advance. Once we’re there, the work takes a few hours. We leave the room clean.
- Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased, and any rust is treated.
- We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the following day.
How to prepare
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work

You don’t need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.

Your questions about bath repair in Bantham Cross
Will you leave a mess?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we have finished.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Most of the time. Let us know what was used before and we’ll plan for it.
Will the repair last?
It should, as long as the bath is firm and the area was prepared well. It carries our one-year guarantee.
How long before I can use the bath?
Generally within a day, though it depends on what we’ve done.
What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?
Your quote covers the damage in the pictures. If there’s more, we’ll tell you before starting.
Can you repair a hole in a bath?
Generally, yes, if we can reach behind it. The hole is backed, filled and refinished to match.
Does someone need to be in?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. You don’t need to watch us work.
Are you a vetted contractor?
We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour matched, just like other baths.
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it relies on good support. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.
