  • Damage beneath the taps
  • Snagging damage from a refit

  • Who will actually do the work

Choosing a repair company

Bath repair in Beaconside without replacing anything

You don’t need a new bath because of a chip. We fill the damage, shape it to the curve of the bath and refinish it, with the colour mixed on site so the repair is hard to spot. Common call-outs are for chips on the rim or sides and a failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting, across cast iron enamel, pressed steel enamel and whirlpool & spa baths.

All our work comes with a one-year guarantee.

Before and after: a damaged acrylic bath corner repaired in place

When a repair isn’t the answer

Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits too:

  • A steel bath rusted through
  • A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
  • A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

What we work on

  • Acrylic
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Roll-top & freestanding

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a bath rarely stops at the bath: tiles along the rim typically crack when it comes out, a new panel is often needed, and a plumber has to disconnect and reconnect everything. Repairing the damage avoids all of that. Prices start from £95. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.

How it works

Once we are through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. We mask off everything nearby, the work takes two to three hours for most chips, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.

  1. We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
  2. Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
  3. We mix the colour on the day to match your bath’s exact shade.
  4. We apply the finish coats and polish the repair so it blends in.
  5. Once it has cured, generally by the day after, the bath is ready to use.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Let us know about parking or access

Advice

Landlord and trade work in Beaconside

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.

Letting agents often send us photos straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

DIY kit or professional repair?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

Repairs by material

Composite and resin

Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, just like other baths.

Pressed steel

Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Exposed steel rusts fast, particularly by the plughole, so early repairs matter.

Prices and what affects them

Repairs from £95. Every quote is fixed and free. What we take into account:

  • Access to the area
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • How many areas need work

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.

How to get a fixed price

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:

  • Something in shot to show the size
  • One picture of the whole bath
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.
