Beechwood: your questions answered
Will I be able to see the repair?
On a glossy bath, you will struggle to find it. On worn enamel, it can look shinier than the rest.
Do you hold any accreditations?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
How soon can you come?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.
What does bath repair cost?
Repairs from £95. We give a fixed quote from your photos. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.
Can you fix rust around the plughole?
Yes. We take out the rust and any loose enamel, seal and fill the area, then colour-match the finish.
When can I have a bath again?
Most baths can be used the following day. We’ll tell you the exact curing time when we finish.
Can you repair a hole in a bath?
In most cases. Send us a picture of the hole and one from under the bath if you can.
Do you work in Beechwood?
Yes. We cover the whole UK and travel to Beechwood and the rest of Halton. Send photos and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Bath repair in Beechwood, done in place
A damaged bath doesn’t have to mean a new bathroom. We fill the damage, shape it to the curve of the bath and refinish it, mixing the colour on the day. If you’re dealing with chips caused by builders and rust by the waste and overflow, we can help, whatever the material.
Big or small, you get the same one-year guarantee.

Why repair rather than replace?
When the bath is otherwise sound, repairing beats replacing. It’s quicker, cheaper and far less disruptive, and you keep the bath you chose. Where the whole surface is tired, we may suggest re-enamelling instead. Prices start from £95. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.
Why us?

When we’d advise against a repair
In fairness, some problems need a different fix:
- Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
- Wear across the whole surface, which needs re-enamelling
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.
Surfaces we repair
- Pressed steel enamel
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Acrylic
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Cast iron enamel
The process
On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will take it from there. Most visits take a morning or an afternoon, including clearing up.
- Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
- We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, generally the following day.
Before we arrive
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Ensure the area is dry
- Let us know which floor the room is on
Ask for a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.

Landlord and trade work in Beechwood
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we’ll arrange it.
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
What else we do in Beechwood
What your bath is made of matters
Cast iron
Cast iron is heavy and rigid, with a fused enamel surface. A chip down to the iron can rust, but the bath itself lasts for generations, so it’s always worth repairing.
Acrylic
An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. They do not rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and a crack only stays repaired if it’s supported underneath.
Aftercare tips
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
- Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
- Check that an acrylic bath doesn’t move when you stand in it
Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before running a bath. From then on, mild cleaning is all it needs.
Tape over a fresh chip or crack until it’s repaired, to keep water out. Take it off before we arrive.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
