Need bath repair in Boley Park?

Bath repair at your home in Boley Park

You don’t need a new bath because of a chip. We fill the damage, shape it to the curve of the bath and refinish it, mixing the colour on the day so the repair is hard to spot. Our repair technicians work on pressed steel enamel, whirlpool & spa baths and roll-top & freestanding, and common reasons people get in touch are scratches you can feel with a fingernail and chips along the edge of the bath.

You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there’s a problem and we’ll come back.

Keeping it looking good

Once the work has cured, treat it gently:

  • Put a towel in the bath if you are working above it
  • Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
  • Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
  • Store metal items away from the bath

There’s nothing special to do after a repair, just sensible cleaning. Skip bleach and gritty creams and give it a rinse after each bath.

Rust spreads under enamel faster than most people expect. Left for months, a small chip can grow into a large rust patch, so it pays to deal with it early.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Cast iron baths in particular are worth repairing: getting one out, particularly from an upstairs bathroom, is a big job, and a like-for-like replacement can be expensive. A repair keeps it in place. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

Why book with us

The process

We agree an arrival time beforehand. On site, it takes a morning or an afternoon in most cases. We leave the room clean and ready to use once it has cured.

  1. We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
  2. Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
  3. The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
  4. The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
  5. The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.

Before we arrive

  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Make sure the room can be ventilated
  • Make sure the area is dry

10 questions to ask before booking

Your questions about bath repair in Boley Park

Do you repair coloured baths?

Yes, coloured baths are no problem. We tint the finish to your bath on site.

Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?

In most cases. We reinforce the crack from behind, then fill and refinish the front, so we need access under the bath.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

Do you cover the whole of Staffordshire?

All of Staffordshire, and the rest of the UK. Travel is included in the price.

Will you leave a mess?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, so the repair isn’t disturbed while it cures.

What happens once I’ve sent pictures?

You get a fixed price and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we’ll ask for another photo.

Landlord and trade work in Boley Park

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

When a repair is not the answer

It helps to know what we can’t do:

  • Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below
  • Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
  • Wear across the entire surface, which needs re-enamelling

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.

What we work on

  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Acrylic
  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Roll-top & freestanding

What your bath is made of matters

Acrylic

An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. There is no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.

Cast iron

Cast iron is heavy and rigid, finished with fired enamel. A chip down to the iron can rust, but the body of the bath lasts a very long time, which makes it well worth repairing.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Boley Park. The price reflects:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Access to the area
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • Unusual colours or finishes

Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Quotes from your pictures

You can take the photos on your phone, there is no need for anything special. Ensure they show:

  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • The material, if you know it
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

Send us a photo of the damage and one of the whole item, with your WS14 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.
